Dongxi Village belongs to Tongyu Town, adjacent to Huaqi Village, Gangkou Village, Yujiao Village and Bian Xi Village, with shady trees and four distinct seasons, surrounded by mountains and waters.

Tongyu Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, China. It is adjacent to heping town in the east, Guiyu Town in the west, Xiashan Street in Lianjiang in the south and Gurao Town in the north. The town covers an area of 42.4 square kilometers, including 26,400 mu of cultivated land and 8,975 mu of mountainous area. It has jurisdiction over three neighborhood committees: Tongwan, Qian Sheng and Laoxi, Huaqi, Caowei, Helong, Bian Xi, Shen Ling, Xinqiao, Jixing, Guangxing, Qi Mei, Zhaimei, Nandao, Beidao, Yujiao, Shuangqi, Chaogang, Fengtian, Hu Feng, Shangshi, Qi Xin, Xidongli and Xiaodu. By the end of 2003, the total population was 1 1.6044[ see 2]. Lingshan Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, is the former residence of Cai Chusheng, and Ming 'anli, which integrates Chaozhou porcelain inlay, Chaozhou clay sculpture, Chaozhou painting, Chaozhou wood carving and Chaozhou stone carving, is also located in this town.
