Liangxi is named after Liangxi River. Liangxi was once another name of Wuxi. The recorded history of Liangxi can be traced back to the last years of Shang Dynasty (BC 1046). After several changes, 1958 established Chong 'an District, Nanchang District and Beitang District. 2065438+February 2006, Chong 'an District, Nanchang District and Beitang District were abolished and Liangxi District was merged.
