Jing Ke's fame should be attributed to the famous Qin stabbing, which of course established his reputation as the first killer in ancient times. But what we want to say is how he became a high-profile popularity killer. There is such a record in Historical Records: "Jing Qing likes reading and fencing". It can be seen that Jing Ke's ideal is to be an affectionate literary swordsman. But unfortunately, Jing Ke's fencing is really not brilliant. The same is Historical Records, which records that "Jing Ke tried to visit Yuci and talked with Nie Gai about swords. Nie Gai looked at it angrily, and Jing Ke went out. That is to say, one day, Jing Ke and Nie Gai had a disagreement on the issue of swords. As for the result, it is probably: I only stared at you in the crowd, but you left in a panic. Jing Ke left in a flurry, of course. Interestingly, there is more than one story about Jing Ke. It is also recorded that "Jing Ke traveled to Handan, and Lu Youjian and Jing contended for Tao. Lu Youjian was angry and dismissed, and Jing Ke fled and never met again. " This is another PK, and the opponent is Lu Jujian, but the result is the same, ending in Jing Ke's defeat and fleeing.
Interestingly, Jing Ke, a third-rate swordsman, stumbled into a killer by mistake. It turned out that Dan, the son of Yan State, appeared at the right time. The situation at that time was roughly like this. At that time, Qin had a tendency to annex the world, and the sword pointed to Yan. Gong Zidan, a "rich second generation", used to live a good life. He wants to be a prisoner, and the psychological gap is too big. So he thought of a way: buy and kill people. Kill who? Naturally, it is the king of Qin. Finally, I chose Jing Ke. Why Jing Ke? It turns out that Jing Ke swordsman's road is always unsatisfactory. Later, he wandered to Yan Di and met a confidant named Gao Jianli, a dog killer. So the two brothers did nothing. "Drinking in Yanshi, drinking in the past, and seeing Lilou, Jing Ke sang in the city, enjoying each other and crying, and no one watched." How's it going? I don't know. Everyone is watching. Isn't this the elegant master of the world? Fame came out in an instant.
Of course, when Dan found Jing Ke, he didn't want to take the job. The reason is simple, this is a road of no return. However, childe Dan has an idea. "Historical Records" records: "Jing Jingqing is a superior official, and he abandons the roots and pursues the end. The prince builds doors every day, providing too much furniture for foreign objects to enter, and riding a beautiful woman for Jing Ke to do whatever he wants. " That is to say, senior officials, beautiful women, and childe Dan are all present. Of course, Jing Jingyuan is not a man of moral integrity, and he doesn't want to close his eyes like a gentleman in class. Instead, he accepted everything with a smile.
If so, take advantage of it, stab Qin like an arrow in the string, and have to send it. Most of us know the development of the following plot. Above the Qin Temple, the dagger is poor. "The left hand holds the sleeve of the king of Qin, and the right hand holds the dagger L, which is not enough." That is to say, Jing Ke missed a blow. Of course, the description behind Historical Records is also quite wonderful. Jing Ke carried out a series of serial attacks, using all kinds of tricks, but did not hurt the king of Qin. Finally, the helpless nurse hit him directly with a medicine bag and lost too much blood. Finally, he fell tragically on the road of the killer. In fact, with Jing Ke's kung fu, let alone the assassination of the king of Qin, I'm afraid even the eunuch Zhao Gao around me may not be able to compete with Li Bo at that time. (Text: Baima Jinyi)
Further reading: How did Jing Ke die? The story of Jing Ke stabbing the king of Qin is well known to all women and children, but people's understanding of the cause and effect of this incident is quite different from the historical facts, which is just the opposite of the historical truth. For example, the reason why Jing Ke failed to stab the king of Qin is generally considered that Jing Ke's fencing is not good. So what is the truth? Jing Ke PK Qin Wang, whose swordsmanship is high?
Film and Television Interpretation of The King of Qin Stabbed Jing Ke Nowadays, many people think that the king of Qin is good at fencing, which comes from the interpretation of the screenwriter and the interpretation of the film and television director.
The poet Tao Yuanming wrote in Ode to Jing Ke: "If you want to be poor, you will end up in a daze. It's a pity that the swordsmanship is sparse and has not achieved remarkable results. Although he is gone, he has lingering feelings for thousands of years. " In Tao Yuanming's view, Jing Ke failed in fencing, so he didn't succeed.
In this regard, today's great director Chen Kaige also has a very creative interpretation. In his film Jing Ke Stabbed the King of Qin, Chen Kaige made an exception for Qin Shihuang and allowed Jing Ke to bring his sword into the temple, setting an assassination trap for the assassin. As soon as the poor dagger came out, Jing Ke just pulled out the long sword around his waist, and the king of Qin, who had already prepared it, took the lead in wielding the sword and chopped Jing Ke's sword to pieces. Before Jing Ke could react, the king of Qin had pierced Jing Ke's chest deeply with his sword. After watching this film, people think that the title of the film should be changed, to be exact, "The King of Qin stabbed Jing Ke". Director Chen's interpretation fully illustrates the difference of Jing Ke's swordsmanship-the slow speed of sword drawing and the poor quality of sword.
In the film, the king of Qin was afraid that others would take the credit, but also retired all the civil servants and military commanders in the hall and fought Jing Ke alone. Director Chen may be a fan of Qin Shihuang, so he turned this "eternal emperor" into a cowboy hero in the western United States.
Historical Truth: Who killed Jing Ke? We must put aside the interpretation of writers and film directors and restore the historical truth of "Jing Ke stabbed the king of Qin". Fortunately, we can see the "live broadcast" of this incident in Historical Records ―― Xia Wuhuan, who was present at that time, was the physician who beat Jing Ke with a medicine bag and saved the life of the king of Qin, and told it to Sima Qian's father Sima Tan. The relevant part of Sima Qian's Historical Records is the first-hand material of this matter.
According to Sima Qian's records, the situation at that time was like this: Jing Ke sent a map and Fan Yuqi's head to the king of Qin, trying to find a way out. Jing Ke grabbed the dagger in his right hand and the sleeve of the king of Qin in his left hand, trying to assassinate the king of Qin, but the accident happened ―― when he pulled it, the sleeve of the king of Qin was broken. He turned and fled from Jing Ke, but he couldn't pull out his sword because of panic. Because the King of Qin stipulated that ministers were not allowed to carry weapons into Xianyang Palace at that time, and the guards had to stand outside the main hall, the whole Xianyang Palace formed such a situation: Jing Ke singled out the King of Qin and the King of Qin Ran around the pillars.
At this moment, Xia Wuqie, a doctor standing by, smashed his medicine bag at Jing Ke and saved the life of the king of Qin. The minister who came to his senses shouted how the king of Qin drew his sword, and the king of Qin drew his sword. Compared with the dagger in Jing Ke's hand, the advantage of Qin's weapon is obvious. He cut off Jing Ke's left leg first, and then cut eight swords in succession. Jing Ke is still alive. He leaned against the pillar of Xianyang Palace and cursed Qin Shihuang. Then, the guards outside the main hall heard the chaos inside and rushed in to kill Jing Ke.
First, Xia Wu smashed the medicine bag, and then the minister instructed the "sword drawing" outside the court, and the guards helped. So it seems that it was not the King of Qin who killed Jing Ke. From the point of view of the rewarded king of Qin, even the king of Qin himself didn't think that killing Jing Ke was his own credit, but mainly the credit of Xia's innocence. He gave Xia Wu 'e a "200 gold overflow" and said, "If you don't love me, mention Jing Ke and a medicine bag."
In addition, the asymmetry of weapons is also one of the factors that lead to Jing Ke's unsuccessful stab at Qin. When the king of Qin drew his sword, Jing Ke, who was only holding a dagger, could not get close to the king of Qin.
