Bibliography of undergraduates majoring in history in colleges and universities
Professor Guo China, Department of History, Renmin University, Secretary-General of the National College History Teaching Steering Committee.
Editor's Note: After repeated discussions and revisions, the Reading Bibliography for Undergraduates Majoring in History in Colleges and Universities formulated by the Steering Committee of History in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education was adopted at the annual meeting of the Committee in 2002, and was formally recommended to the joint meeting of the department heads of history in colleges and universities nationwide. Now the bibliography is published, hoping that this book can correctly guide students' reading activities, further promote the reform of history teaching and improve the teaching quality.
make it clear
The purpose of listing this book is to provide a way for history majors to learn, consolidate their basic knowledge, broaden their horizons and cultivate their innovative ability through reading. Therefore, listing should be systematic, basic, cutting-edge and operable. For the selected bibliography, we should first consider the integrity of history itself, and on this basis, select some representative works as much as possible. Except in rare cases, textbooks and reference books are not recommended in principle. Some authoritative masterpieces, such as General History of China edited by Fan Wenlan and Cai Meibiao, Draft History of China edited by Guo Moruo and Lin Ganquan, General History of China Thought edited by Hou Wailu, General History of China edited by Bai Shouyi, History of the Republic of China edited by Xin Li, Cambridge Chinese History and Cambridge World History edited by Fei Zhengqing, have all been criticized. For Chinese and foreign historical materials, this book is no longer recommended, except The General History of China edited by Jane Bozan and Zheng Tianting. Students in all schools can read selectively according to their own interests or under the guidance of teachers. It is particularly important to point out that this book is only instructive for students majoring in history in ordinary colleges and universities, and teachers in each school can completely add or delete according to the characteristics of their own regions and schools. In addition, this book is based on Fudan University and Wuhan University's basic reading list for undergraduates majoring in history, which was jointly completed by some teachers from the History Department of Renmin University of China.
