Why can Mount Tai become the first world cultural and natural heritage in China?
Because Mount Tai has been regarded as a holy mountain for generations. Emperors of all dynasties held closing ceremonies and sacrificial activities in Mount Tai, and built temples up and down Mount Tai to carve gods and carve words on stones. Scholars of various dynasties also like to travel here, leaving many excellent poems. Thousands of poems and carved stones were left behind. For example, Confucius' Autumn Lingge, Guan Jing, Cao Zhi's Fei Long Pian, Li Bai's Ode to Mount Tai and Du Fu's Wang Yue have all become China's masterpieces handed down from generation to generation. The murals of the Song Dynasty in Tian Li Hall and the painted Luohan statues in Lingyan Temple are rare treasures. Mount Tai's stone carvings and inscriptions are masterpieces of China's calligraphy art, and all kinds of authentic cursive seal cutting have arrived from Yan, Liu, Europe and Zhao. They are the exhibition halls of China's calligraphy and stone carving. Taishan is rich in cultural heritage, with 97 existing ancient sites and 22 ancient buildings, which provides important physical materials for studying the history of ancient architecture in China. The mountains of Mount Tai overlap and pile up heavy bodies, supplemented by pine trees, boulders and surrounding smoke clouds, forming a magnificent scene intertwined with solemnity and magic. Ganoderma lucidum, Polygonum multiflorum Thunb, chestnut, walnut and other special products produced here are famous all over the country. More than 20 ancient buildings and more than 2,200 stone tablets distributed on the mountain make Artest a rare tourist attraction integrating history, culture and nature in the world. Mount Tai scenic spot is most famous for its sunrise, jade plate of sea of clouds, sunset glow and golden belt of the Yellow River. It is divided into six parts: quiet area, open area, Olympic area, wonderful area and beautiful area. Visitors can climb the mountain by three ropeways centered on Daiding, or they can pack their bags and get close to nature and climb on foot. Mount Tai is the only famous mountain that was closed to meditation by the emperor. Besides, Buddhism and Taoism, which have a long tradition in China, are also flourishing here. Climbing to the top of Mount Tai has attracted many domestic and foreign tourists with its unique scenery and humanistic connotation, which can be described as climbing Mount Tai and being small in the world.
