How powerful is Ye in Meizhou?
Meizhou Ye clan: a family of three generations and five counties.

Ye's younger brother, ranked 36th in the Bingzi family, was elected as the magistrate candidate. Ye Zhangzi moved from Xinzhong in the south of the Yangtze River to the front of Meitang Palace (Yi 'antang), ranking 64th in Wu Geng, and successively served as the magistrate of Linxian County, Jiexiu County and Xiangling County.

Ye's fifth son, Si Xian, followed his father, uncle and brother closely. During the Qianlong period, he was promoted to Ding Haike (1767) and was appointed as the magistrate of Jiande County, Zhejiang Province. Ye's grandson, Wei Gao, is not far behind. After being promoted during the Qianlong period, he successively served as Wuqiao county magistrate and Jizhou magistrate.

Grandpa and brother magistrate, father and brother magistrate, grandson magistrate, for a time. Interestingly, when Ye's mother was in her nineties, five generations lived under one roof and five prefectures: her son, grandson and great-grandson, which was perhaps unique in the history of China.

In the prosperous time of Kanggan, the Jiangnan New Middle School in Meixian County, where Ye is located, covers an area of more than 20 acres, and the Longwei House in Yi 'antang of the same size in front of Meitang Palace, all of which read "Jinshi Building". As a result, "Jinshilou Leaf House" has been well-known in Meizhou and abroad for hundreds of years. The dragon paddock of Yi 'antang in front of Meitang Palace is still intact, standing quietly by the beautiful Meijiang River.

There is a little-known story behind Ye's flourishing literary style: Ye's mother is the daughter of Li Xiangyuan's Hanlin, Huang Zunxian's grandmother is Li Xiangyuan's granddaughter, and Li Xiangyuan's teacher is Ye's great-grandfather. At that time, Ye, Li and Huang San were all noble families in Meixian County, and many stories were circulated.
