How far is the history of coral?
Coral reefs appeared in the CAMBRIAN era 2 billion years ago, and primitive coral reefs were built in calcareous algae environment. The first historical period of coral survival was 245 million years ago or 570 million years ago, which was the heyday of coral, sponge and calcareous algae growth. 2.45-6.5 million years ago, due to changes in the natural environment, many coral species faced extinction, which was then called the Mesozoic era of corals. Later, about 6.5 million to 2 million years ago, coral reefs began to form slowly, and most species are still preserved today. This is the so-called third phase.

There are three ways of coral reproduction: sexual reproduction, budding reproduction and fission reproduction, among which the spawning of coral is an important event in the ocean. The late spring is the most spectacular time every year. In this season, thousands of corals will magically release pink sperm balls to the sea at the same time to obtain more offspring.

If it is hermaphroditic coral, the fertilized eggs will develop into larvae in the body and then be discharged into the sea. Coral larvae drifting in the sea will drift far away, where they will grow into new life if they meet the right living environment.
