The United States of America, referred to as the United States for short, is a federal republic and a constitutional state composed of Washington, D.C., 50 states, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam and many other overseas territories. Its main part is located in central North America, with a land area of 9.63 million square kilometers and a population of 365.438 billion. It is an immigrant country with a common English.
