In the early 1980s, the whole vehicle was imported to China, which was called "Platinum Generation". Like many imported cars of that era, CG 125 was expensive.
Before Euro III emission regulations came in 2008, Honda replaced CG 125 with CBF 125 equipped with EFI system. Domestic manufacturers have also replaced the old CG 125 with OTR or CBF engines, but manufacturers still use the name of CG when naming new cars.
