The Historical Evolution of Ningcun Village
Tanghe and Ningcun Town trace the history of Ningcun Village. The first thing to mention is Tanghe, the founding father of the Ming Dynasty and a famous anti-Japanese. According to Yongjia County Records, "Ningcun was founded in the 20th year of Ming Hongwu (1387) and in the Tang Dynasty". During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, pirates were rampant in the southeast coast, and Zhu Yuanzhang sent Tanghe to Zhejiang coast to fight pirates. From 19 to 20 years (1386- 1387), Tanghe built 59 castles all over Zhejiang (including present-day Shanghai), mainly in Zhejiang, with more than 50,000 conscripts stationed in each castle. Among them, there are Panshiwei, Jinxiangwei, Ningcun Institute, Pu Yin Institute, Hai 'an Institute, Shayuan Institute, Pumen Institute, and Qiangzi Institute (the enclosure was the military organization of the castle at that time). Ningcun is one of 59 castles. These enlisted officers and men fought when they had something to do, plowed when they had nothing to do, and married local residents to have children and settled for a long time, becoming the earliest residents of Ningcun. The origin of the word "Ning" in Ningcun can tell the history from one side. The so-called "Ning" means that the villagers take it from the meaning of praying for peace and avoiding being invaded by the Japanese, and express a desire to pursue a peaceful and peaceful life.

After the completion of Ningcun Town, it has been playing a role in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression for a long time, constantly fighting against Japanese invasion. Especially in the thirty-seventh year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1558), more than 800 Japanese pirates landed in Dongpu, Ruian, burning and looting all the way, and went straight to Ningcun City from Meitou. The enemy used more than 100 ladders and swarmed in an attempt to break the city. The soldiers and civilians in Ningcun town rose to kill the enemy, and the battle was fierce. Zhang Tie, a member of the army, died in the battle. Due to heavy casualties, the enemy fled. Up to now, there is still a cemetery in Ningcun City, and the words "Tang and spirit will be carried forward forever" are engraved on the beam of the stone memorial arch in the cemetery. Around the stone tomb, there are also couplets engraved: "Guo Wei is dead, and blood is spilled on the battlefield warriors; Protect the family against Japan, and the bonfire will clear the universe. " "Thousands of miles of dust buried cold bones, a Jiang Xue hung loyal soul. "It embodies the national integrity of the coastal soldiers and civilians against the invaders.

The circumference of the whole city is more than one kilometer. The outer layer of the city wall is made of stone, and the inner layer is tamped with soil slope. According to the old man's memory, the city is about 8 meters high and the city base is 30 meters wide. Trees and horse races can be planted in the city.
