Anyuan county is located in the south of Jiangxi province, and its geographical coordinates are 24 52 ′18 ″ north latitude and 25 36 ′ 52 ″15 9 ′ 52 ″ ~15 37 ′18. It borders Huichang County and Xunwu County in the east, dingnan county in the south, Xinfeng County in the west and Du Xian County and Ganxian County in the north.
