One version is at the end of the Ming Dynasty, when the Japanese invaded, Ishii people had no place to be ashamed, so they hid in this culvert.
Another version is that in the early years of the Qing Dynasty, Zheng Chenggong rebelled against the Qing Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty sent troops to suppress it. If they are destroyed, they will be banned from the sea and all the Ishii people will be removed. In fact, Nanmendou Dasheng Palace in Ningde City was built in the first year of Shaoxing in the Song Dynasty (A.D. 1 13 1), with a long history of nearly 900 years.
