Scenic spots/tourist attractions

Volcanic rehai

Tengchong is a famous geothermal scenic spot in China. At present, there are 64 geothermal active areas and more than 80 hot springs in the whole region, with the highest water temperature of 96.3℃. Among them, the Tengchong Hot Sea, which is embedded about 20 kilometers west of the city, has the strongest heat and the most wonderful external display. Surrounded by green hills, the water is rushing. It starts from Sulphur Pond in the north, connects Songshanqing in the south, Xiao Zhong Temple in the east and Bajiaoyuan in the west. Within about 9 square kilometers, there are various geothermal landscape types. At present, more than ten scenic spots have been developed, such as large and small rolling pots, toad mouth, beauty pool, lion head, pearl spring, drum sound spring, Huaitaijing, Ren Xian bathhouse and bathhouse river waterfall. These hot springs and steam springs can be divided into carbonate springs, sulfur springs and sulfuric acid springs according to their chemical composition. Sulfur carbonate spring area, lush vegetation, full of green; In the area of sulfuric acid spring, a piece of ground about 80 meters long and 40 meters wide is steaming and hissing. The sand on the surface is bare, and nothing grows, so people dare not set foot in it and become a natural "0". Among these geothermal hot springs, boiling pot is the most powerful. This is an octagonal boiling spring that has been cleverly "packaged" by people, and it contains the gossip of Hyunri. The pool is about 10 square meter, the depth is about 1.5 meter, and the highest water temperature can reach 98℃. The bottom of the pool was sprayed with water everywhere, and there was a huge spring water spewing out like a column. After a few feet out of the water, it glides leisurely, forming a huge splash, which is beautiful when it is on and off. Because of the high water temperature, nearby villagers and tourists often use it as a "cooker" in the kitchen at night, or kill chickens or pigs, so it is very convenient to get boiled water on the spot.
