nonwoven fabric

nonwoven fabric

The industrialized production of nonwovens began in the 1940s, and developed rapidly because of its high output, low cost and wide application range. Non-woven fabrics are divided into thin and thick categories. Thin weight is generally 20 ~ 100 g/m (,used as clothing lining decorative cloth, handkerchiefs, feminine hygiene products, etc. ); Thick type can be used as batt, carpet, filter material, geotextile (subgrade cloth) and so on. It can also be used to make special materials such as heat insulation, air permeability, heat resistance, wear resistance, sound insulation, shock prevention, virus prevention and radiation protection. The production technology of nonwovens originated from papermaking and felting. Early non-woven fabrics were made of waste cotton or textile mill scraps after treatment, and were used as low-grade cotton wadding mats or thermal insulation materials. Since the 1950s, chemical fibers have made great progress, and the production technology of non-woven fabrics has also been greatly improved. Techniques such as needling, tufting and sewing have been adopted one after another, and the output of natural fiber and chemical fiber nonwovens has increased greatly, which is increasingly widely used. The manufacturing methods of non-woven fabrics are divided into dry method and wet method.
