"Paleolithic Age" is a time zone concept put forward by archaeologists. The so-called Stone Age does not mean that people only used stone tools at that time. For example, the "nesting" lifestyle in the Youchao era, in the middle and early Paleolithic period, people in that period could already build simple "nests" with tools.
Extended data:
Paleolithic economic activities
The economic activities of human beings in the Paleolithic period mainly obtained food by picking fruits, hunting or fishing. At that time, people lived in caves or partly in trees, ate fruits, nuts and roots of some plants, and hunted wild animals collectively, catching fish and mussels in rivers and lakes for a living.
There are many remains and relics left in caves, but it is difficult to leave any remains in the life of trees. From the ancient literature, we can vaguely find the shadow of ancient arboreal and collection. From the late Paleolithic to the middle Stone Age, human life was characterized by burrowing or nesting, gathering and hunting.
