Historical evolution of Yantai
Yantai is named after Yantai Mountain in China. In the thirty-first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1398), in order to prevent Japanese pirates, the Langyan Wharf was set up in Yantaishan today.

As early as Shang Dynasty, Western Zhou Dynasty and Spring and Autumn Period, it was the land of lai. The warring States period belongs to qi. The Qin Dynasty belonged to Qi. The Han Dynasty belonged to Donglai County.

Metal Donglai country. The Northern and Southern Dynasties belonged to Donglai County and Changguang County.

Sui belongs to Laizhou. Tang belongs to Dengzhou and Laizhou. Song and Yuan Dynasties were caused by it.

Ming and Qing Dynasties belonged to Dengzhou Prefecture and Laizhou Prefecture.

1925 belongs to Donghai Road. 1928 abandoned road.
