Chaoyangguan, located at the top of Guan Feng, is about 1 km southwest of Chengyezhou Town, Jianshi County, covering an area of about 500 square meters. Guan Feng was named "Chaoyang View" because it looks like a colorful peak about to fly to the sun, which means that Feng Dan is facing the sun. Because a natural pool outside the view is called "Tianchi" and Chaoyang view is also called "Tianchi Temple". This temple was built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty and was repaired during the Qing Dynasty.
The whole view was originally built by buildings such as Buddha Hall, Guanyin Hall, Eighteen Arhats Hall, Jade Emperor Building, Lvzu Pavilion and Lingguan Hall. , sit east to west, brick and wood structure. Above the gate, the word "Tianchi Temple" is embossed in block letters. On the blue-and-white stone door frame, a couplet is engraved: "The pool is deep by diving, and the sky is free for birds to fly", and the banner reads "Temple is empty". The clay sculptures in the temple are lifelike, beautifully furnished and solemn. Presided over by the elders, incense flourished. There are often good men who believe in women and pray for God. On the south side of the temple, there is a natural pool, which was originally as clear as a mirror, named "Tianchi Mirror", and a single-span arch bridge was built on it, commonly known as "Moon Arch Bridge".
Around Chaoyangguan, there used to be towering cypress trees, fragrant osmanthus lotus, several border fields and a few wisps of fragrance dotted among them. After the rain, Chu Qing was shrouded in clouds and covered with green trees, which was elegant and quiet as a cave. Coupled with the sound of bells and drums and cigarettes, the ancients praised it as "Penglai Wonderland". In the northeast of Guanfeng Mountain, there is the Lion Cave inscribed by Mr. Ying Shi, one of the "Three Masters" in Hubei. There are also "Cave Flying Spring" and "Cave Overpass". Visitors once wrote a couplet, "Clear water flows in a natural cave, green hills are shaded, and the overpass on earth is hidden". At the foot of the mountain, there are rolling water ripples in Guangrun River, sparkling "Lion Beach" (Lion Beach growls at night) and vivid "Ship Island". In the upper reaches of Lion Beach, there is also a single-span "iron cable bridge". In the southeast of Guanfeng Mountain, there are 48 Tai Chi figures and Malanxi, where the green water twists and turns. "Tiger Head Green" is on the northwest mountain of Malanxi. Just north of Guanfeng Mountain, there are important historical sites and quiet Sanqing Cave, Tiger Pagoda, Cliff Hanging White Seal, Stone Wu Song Sand and Dark Cave. In the west of Guanfeng Mountain, there is a steep stockade (fat doll) hole on Dazhai Mountain. There is Wan Li's "phoenix tail dragging green"; There is a giant "hole" that can hold 10 thousand people. At the foot of Renyan Slope in the northwest, there are "Fish Fairy Cave", "Mihe River" and "Yin He Mountain" composed of natural stones. With its unique scenery, it is the best holiday resort at the end of Chaoyang Guan Scenic Area. It is said that during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, General Ye Ting was imprisoned here as the first prison of the Kuomintang in Hubei Province.
At present, Chaoyang Scenic Area has not only restored the landmark buildings such as Chaoyang View, Tianchi Temple Buddha Hall, Guanyin Hall and Ancestral Hall built in the middle of Ming Dynasty, but also restored the mirror of Tianchi, an ancient scenic spot. In addition, there are nine ridges and double eaves viewing building, teahouse, Twenty-four Filial Piety Hall, General Ye Ting Memorial Hall, Tujia Handwaving Hall, Bark Hall, attic and other characteristic buildings with ethnic customs and Mimi Zoo, with a construction area of 1800 square meters. On September 25 this year, Chaoyang view has passed the acceptance of AA-level scenic spots.
