How long is the history of Pinghe County?
Pinghe County, located in the 13th year of Zhengde in Ming Dynasty (15 18), is located in the southwest of Zhangzhou, connecting eight counties in Fujian and Guangdong provinces. It is a provincial key hometown of overseas Chinese and the ancestral home of Taiwan Province compatriots. It is not only an economically underdeveloped county, but also an open coastal county. The county has a population of 56 1 person (the fourth in Zhangzhou), covering an area of 23.28.6 square kilometers (the first in Zhangzhou), with 2.6 million mu of mountains, 355,000 mu of cultivated land and 2.68 million mu of forest land.
