Luchuan Iron Pot enjoys a long-standing reputation at home and abroad. According to historical records, as early as the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Lu Chuan began to manufacture iron pots, which has a history of more than 400 years. Since the reform and opening up, Luchuan people have seized this once-in-a-lifetime historical opportunity and actively used advanced technology to transform and upgrade this traditional industry.

Guangxi Iron Pot Science and Technology Development Center is located in Luchuan. Luchuan has become the production, sales and R&D base of daily-use iron pots in China. Luchuan iron pot product development and handicraft technology occupy a leading position in the country, with many patents such as the production of non-stick pan for induction cooker, and many new products such as purple sand cast iron pot developed have become the first in the country, playing the role of "leader" in the national iron pot industry. At present, Luchuan County in Guangxi has an annual output of more than 44.2 million pots of various types, accounting for 1/3 of the national total output. Among them, electromagnetic cast iron pan accounts for more than 90% of the special pots for induction cookers in China, and it is the largest production base of cast iron pan in China. Luchuan County was awarded the honorary title of "Iron Pot Capital of China" by the National Productivity Promotion Center of Daily Hardware Industry.

According to incomplete statistics, by the end of 2005, there were more than 20 iron pot enterprises in Luchuan, including 5 enterprises with annual sales of over 5 million yuan 15, 4 enterprises with annual sales of over 50 million yuan and 6 enterprises with annual sales of over 100 million yuan. Since 2003, the sales of Luchuan iron pots in Guangxi have increased substantially year after year. In 2003, the sales amounted to 626,543.8 million yuan, and in 2004 it was 878 million yuan. In 2005, the output value of the iron pan industry in the county was about 2.36 billion yuan, and more than 75% of the products were exported to more than 30 countries and regions such as Europe, America and Southeast Asia. The production scale of Luchuan iron pot is relatively large, accounting for more than 70% of the national iron pot industry.
