Division evolution of Hongxing Township
Hongxing Township, formerly known as Dalianhe Commune, was renamed Hongxing Commune because of the same name as Dalianhe Town. During the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of the sixth district of Yilan County. After the fall of Northeast China, it was occupied by the Japanese invaders and became the key area of the Japanese immigrant pioneering group, with the headquarters of the pioneering group and several tribes. 1945 "93" After War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, Dalianhe District was established and later changed to the tenth district. 1March, 956, Dalianhe Township was established. 1958 10, changed to Dalianhe People's Commune. 1964, delineating Dalianhe coal mining area and Dalianhe brigade, and establishing Dalianhe town. 1979, Dalianhe Commune was renamed Red Star Commune. 1April, 984, changed to Hongxing Township. The jurisdiction of Hongxing Township is high in the west and low in the east, with Zhangguangcailing hilly area in the west and Mudanjiang alluvial plain in the east. The township has a total area of 264 square kilometers and an area of 83,000 mu of cultivated land. It is one of the main rice producing areas in the county and one of the 10,000 mu beet townships in the county.
