The Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina is located in the middle of the former Yugoslavia, between Croatia and Serbia. The area is 5 1 129 square kilometers. 1945, the people of all ethnic groups in Yugoslavia won the anti-fascist war, established the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia (1963 renamed the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia), and Bosnia and Herzegovina became a republic of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
