Chaoyang history
Chaoyang District is located in the west of Liaoning Province.

It borders Fuxin in the northeast, Jinzhou in the southeast, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the northwest and Hebei Province in the southwest.

It covers an area of 22,900 square kilometers.

The population is 3,465,488.

It has jurisdiction over Chaoyang City (county-level city), Chaoyang County, Jianping County, xian county, Harqin Left-wing Mongolian Autonomous County, Jianchang County and Beipiao County.

It has jurisdiction over 3/kloc-0 sub-district offices, 6 towns and 185 rural people's communes.

The regional administrative office is located in Chaoyang, 249 kilometers away from the provincial capital Shenyang.

Chaoyang area is a hilly area.

The main mountain ranges in the territory are Nuerhu Mountain, Songling Mountain, Daqingshan Mountain and Daheishan Mountain, among which Daqingshan Mountain in Jianchang County is the highest, with an altitude of 1224 meters.

Rivers include Daling River, Xiaoling River, Liugu River, qinglong river River and Laoha River, which flow into Liaodong Bay in the southeast respectively.

Mainly produces sorghum, millet, specialty red dates and pears.

Chaoyang was named after Chaoyang Cave on Fenghuang Mountain in China, which began in the 43rd year of Qing Qianlong (1778).

According to the Records of Chaoyang County in the 20th year of the Republic of China (193 1 year), because the city site is adjacent to the foot of Fenghuang Mountain in the east, and the mountain looks like a green phoenix with its wings held high and its wings spread like a song to the city, it was named after the elegant article "Feng Huangming has gone, the phoenix tree was born in the mountain, and the phoenix tree was born in the morning glow" in the Book of Songs.

Chaoyang District has a long history.

During the Spring and Autumn Period, Chaoyang was the active area of Shanrong and Donghu Lake.

During the Warring States period, the north was still an active area of Shanrong, and the south belonged to Liaoxi County of Yan State.

During the Qin and Western Han Dynasties, the eastern part belonged to Liaoxi County, and the western part belonged to Youbeiping County.

During the Eastern Han Dynasty, Xianbei was an active area in the west and Liaoxi county in the east.

During the Three Kingdoms period, it belonged to Xianbei in the west and Changli County in the east.

In the Western Jin Dynasty, the western part belonged to Xianbei Yuwen Department and the eastern part belonged to Changli County.

During the Sixteen Kingdoms Period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it belonged to Yan Qian, Prelude, Houyan and Beiyan successively.

Qian Yan and Hou Yan Dou once built Dragon City (Chaoyang).

Southern and Northern Dynasties, Northern Wei Dynasty.

Yingzhou was established in the Eastern Wei Dynasty and Northern Qi Dynasty, leading Changli and Jiande counties.

Liucheng County was established in Sui Dynasty.

Liao belongs to Zhongjing Dadingfu, located in Bazhou.

Ten years (-04 1), it was promoted to Xingzhongfu, Jianzhou, Huizhou, Yuzhou, Tanzhou, Andezhou and Zhouchuan.

Dadingfu, Metal Jingdao, is located in Zhong Xing, Lizhou, Zhouchuan and Jianzhou.

Yuan belongs to Daning Road.

From the 25th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty to the first year of Yongle (1392-11403), there were Houtun Wei, Youtun Wei and Zhongtun Wei in Yingzhou, and all of them later entered Taining Wei.

In the third year of Qing Qianlong (1738), Tazigou Hall was set up in the west.

In the thirty-ninth year of Qianlong (1774), there were three towers in the east.

In the forty-third year of Qianlong (1778), the second hall was abandoned and changed to Jianchang County and Chaoyang County respectively, both of which were under the jurisdiction of Chengde Prefecture.

In the 30th year of Guangxu (1904), Chaoyang county was promoted to Chaoyang prefecture.

In the 20th year of the Republic of China (193 1 year), it was under the jurisdiction of Jehol province.

In the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), it was under the jurisdiction of Jehol and Jinzhou provinces.

In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), Jianchang County merged with Kazuo to set up the left-wing office of Harqin, which belongs to Jehol Province. Chaoyang County was changed to Tumote Right Banner, Jianping County became Harqin Right Banner, and Beipiao County was placed under Tumote God Banner.

Jinzhou is under its jurisdiction.

1September 1945, the territory was liberated one after another and placed under the jurisdiction of Jehol province.

1946 was occupied by * * *.

/kloc-in the autumn of 0/947, the whole territory was liberated for the second time and still belonged to Jehol province.

1956 was assigned to Liaoning province.

1959, Chaoyang city was established. 1999, with the approval of the State Council, Chaoyang City was established and Chaoyang District Commissioner's Office was established.

1970 changed to Chaoyang area.
