Manchu, the earliest aborigine in Northeast China, originated in Songhua River Basin under Changbai Mountain. Known as Nuzhen in ancient times, Bohai Dynasty and Jin Dynasty were established in history. In the early Ming Dynasty, the Nuzhen in Northeast China was divided into three parts. Today, the jurchen in Jilin Province is called Haixi, the jurchen around Changbai Mountain is called Jianzhou, and the jurchen in northern Heilongjiang Province is called Savage.
After the mid-Ming Dynasty, due to the constant invasion of the Northeast by the Korean Li Dynasty, the Jurchen people in Jianzhou were forced to move southward to the narrow mountainous area in the eastern part of Liaoning Province today. Due to the limitation of geography and resources, the ministries of Jianzhou Jurchen started a fierce merger war. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Nurhachi in Manchuria rose, and in 20 years, all the Nuzhen tribes were successively annexed, and the post-Jin khanate was established, which was the predecessor of the Qing Dynasty.
In order to strengthen his military strength and consolidate his rule, Nurhachi unified all the tribes and the Ming army recruited from the Ming Dynasty into the Eight Banners Organization. The principle of the Eight Banners is that all adult men under the management of the Eight Banners organization are reservists. Men are transferred to fight in wartime and usually engage in production at home. This is the origin of Manchu Eight Banners.
After two generations of management by Nurhachi and Huang Taiji, Houjin (renamed Qing Dynasty in 1635) successively eliminated the main force of Ming Dynasty and Lin Hanchan of Mongolia. When Fu Lin (the emperor shunzhi), the son of Huang Taiji, was in power, the Ming Dynasty perished in the autumn of 1644, and Wu Sangui, the commander-in-chief of Shanhaiguan, descended to the Qing Dynasty, and the Manchu Dynasty finally entered the Central Plains to unify the world and established the Qing Dynasty. This led to the history of "entering the customs with the dragon".
From August of 1644, Prince Wu Sangui and Haug led the main force of the Eight Banners Army into Shanhaiguan, and seven days later defeated the defenders of Li Zicheng in Xianghe. On the ninth day, Li Zicheng led the Dashun peasant army to flee to Shaanxi, and the soldiers of the Qing army entered Beijing without bloodshed. During this period, the old bureaucrats of the Ming Dynasty offered their cities to take refuge in the new dynasty, and the Qing Dynasty quickly accepted the counties of Hebei, Shandong and Shanxi, and the initial consolidation was completed after entering the customs. 1644 65438+ In early October, Dourgen welcomed the emperor shunzhi and sourdrang queen into Beijing from Shenyang, and the emperor shunzhi held a coronation ceremony in Beijing. During this period, nearly 400,000 families, servants and envoys of the Eight Banners Army living in the northeast moved out of the customs and settled in Beijing, Tianjin, Chengde, Shanhaiguan and other places. From then on, Manchu began to settle in the customs, which is the history of "Dragon Entering the Customs".

Let's talk about Xiao Yunnan again
In the spring of Kangxi 12 (1673), the San Francisco Rebellion broke out in the Qing Dynasty, and three Ming generals headed by Wu Sangui openly opposed the Qing Dynasty. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty ordered the mobilization of Shanhaiguan and the Eight Banners troops in Northeast China, and successively counterinsurgency.
In the twentieth year of Kangxi, the San Francisco rebellion came to an end. After that, except for a few soldiers stationed in Yunnan and Guizhou, most of the Eight Banners were transferred back to the north. Due to the turbulent situation in Chahar and Zhungeer in the north at that time, once the army entered Beijing, it was in urgent need of food and grass, which would bring economic pressure to the Beijing-Tianjin region where the station was in a state of tension. Therefore, according to the special decree of Emperor Kangxi, during the period of 2 1 to 24 years (1690- 1693), victorious troops from all walks of life went to Dezhou, Shandong Province in batches to listen to the decree and discuss the merits, and the land awarded according to the merits was set in their hometown in the northeast. Soldiers can settle down with their families, on the one hand, in the northeast, on the other hand, to consolidate the northeast frontier.
These Eight Banners troops received bounty and reward items in Dezhou, Shandong Province, and received medals according to their exploits. Then, the officers organized the battalions to bypass Chengzhou Port in Shandong Province, cross the sea by boat, pass through Lushun and Gaizhou, reach Shengjing (now Shenyang), get the title deeds with their work cards, and then settle down according to the land location.
Too many people have to move because there are few ferries. So they set up camp temporarily in Chengzhou, waiting for the ferry, which was called "Yanping Banner Camp" at that time. Therefore, after returning to their hometown in Northeast China, people called these flag bearers who came back from Pingsan Francisco "Yunnan Eight Banners" to distinguish them from the real "Eight Banners stationed in Yunnan", so they were also called "Little Yunnan Banner", hereinafter referred to as "Little Yunnan".

Your ancestors obviously experienced the history of the Qing Dynasty from entering the Central Plains to pacifying the San Francisco Rebellion. At the same time, I also participated in a series of wars in these history.
There is such a historical legend in your family, which clearly shows that your ancestors were Manchu and the indigenous people of Baishan Heishui. Shunzhi has already entered the customs and probably lives near Beijing. In Kangxi years, he participated in the rebellion against San Francisco and made meritorious deeds. Later, he was granted land by the Qing court and returned to his hometown in Northeast China. This is a very interesting history of national development.
