The Black History of the Khitans
The disappearance of Khitan historians gives three possibilities: first, they have merged with other nationalities; One is to slowly evolve into other ethnic groups; Another one was scattered all over the country during the war with Mongolia. Either way, it also means that the Khitan nationality no longer exists.

In ancient China, the famous Khitan family existed as early as 1000 years ago. In the Tang Dynasty, the Khitan was classified as the Tang Dynasty and has been paying tribute to the Tang Dynasty. Later, when the Tang Dynasty declined and the Turks rose, the Khitan surrendered to the Turks and wandered on the edge of the Tang Dynasty and the Turks. Slowly, the Khitan became the overlord on the grassland and established the Liao State. The Liao Dynasty once ruled the north of China. Liao country has existed for more than 200 years. It almost destroyed the Song Dynasty by confronting it.

During the period when Liao was strong, the road from the Central Plains of China to the Western Regions was blocked, which led many western countries to think that China was ruled by Liao. Therefore, Qidan has become synonymous with our country in the West. In Kyle Polo's travels, the Khitan is used to represent our country, and now some countries still call our country "Khitan".

Later, the Liao country slowly declined, and they began to advocate Buddhism and built temples at the expense of people and money. The rulers also began to struggle for power and profit, which led to infighting and greatly weakened the army. However, the Jurchen nationality grew stronger and established the Jin State. After that, the decisive battle between Liao and Jin failed, and Liao perished. Some of them fled to Iran under the leadership of Baping and were gradually integrated by local people. Part of it was the Western Expedition led by YeLvdashi, which established the Western Liao Dynasty. Later, Mongolia became powerful, and Western Liao also perished. At this point, the Khitan was completely extinct.
