The subjects of the first qualification examination in 2023 are Chinese, mathematics, English, ideology and politics, physics, history, geography, chemistry and biology. The examination duration of each subject is: Chinese 120 minutes, mathematics and English each 90 minutes, and other subjects each 60 minutes.
The nine subjects to be tested in this exam are all new curriculum standard questions (according to the curriculum plan and subject curriculum standard proposition revised in 2020 by 20 17 edition), and the written test method is adopted, in which six subjects of history, geography, chemistry, biology, ideological politics and physics are multiple-choice questions, and three subjects of Chinese, mathematics and English have both multiple-choice questions and non-multiple-choice questions.
Chinese, mathematics and English subjects are generally graduates of ordinary high schools (including ordinary high schools, secondary vocational education and technical schools, the same below) registered in Guangdong Province in 2023 and social youths over the age of 16.
