Suzhou, referred to as "Su" for short, was called Gusu and Pingjiang in ancient times. It is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, one of the important central cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and a national high-tech industrial base and scenic tourist city approved by the State Council.
