Cao E Yuan is located on the west bank of Cao E River in Guanbai Town, Shangyu. In May of the second year of Han 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (143), Cao E threw himself into the river to save his father. In the first year of Yuanjia (15 1), the county magistrate still buried E and erected a monument on the south side of the Yangtze River. In the eighth year of Song and Yuan Dynasties (1093), he moved from Jiangdong to the west bank. This temple was rebuilt in the original site in the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), with the west facing east. There are gatehouse, main hall, back hall and heavy building on the central axis; On the north axis, there are Cao E Monument, Shuangting and Cao E Tomb. There are mountain gates, stage, Tugu Temple and Dongyue Hall on the south axis. Most of the columns, doors and windows in the temple are hollow, exquisitely carved and very beautiful.
