The history of Quyi music can be traced back to the images of the Warring States Period. However, it is generally believed that the changes of temple prose and aria in Tang Dynasty marked the formal formation of rap music. After the Song Dynasty, rap music developed rapidly, with the emergence of Tao Zhen, Elegant Ci, Drum Ci and Singing Zheng, especially Zhu Gong tune, which made great achievements in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties.
