Zhang Songling's own historical prototype is not a person, but a combination of personality characteristics of many historical figures. The prototype of "fog at the end" is the Daqingshan base area in Inner Mongolia and the Gao Qiao troops in Chifeng.
In addition, the play is adapted from a novel of the same name written by an alcoholic, and tells the story that Zhang Songling was framed by a traitor and his family was ruined on the eve of his wedding with his lover. He learned from a bitter experience and resolutely joined the army and fought bravely against the enemy.
In the original "Drunken", Zhang Songling had relationships with many girls, such as Peng Weiwei, Meng Xiaoyu and Violet. At the end of the story, there was no clear mention of who he was with, but when Zhang's brother went to the grassland, he said that he had taken Xiaoyu to their home and was waiting for the fat man to go back and get married, but the fat man didn't admit the marriage at that time.
This hint in the original work may indicate that Zhang Songling finally got together with Xiaoyu. In the end, Zhang Songling continued to fight in the anti-Japanese front, and his pattern was sublimated. His efforts are no longer for himself.
