During his reign, he took a series of reform measures, developed industry and commerce, fishery, salt smelting and iron industry in China, collected rent tax according to land quality, advocated enriching the people, and enhanced the combat effectiveness of the Qi army. It is necessary to promote talents, formulate a system for selecting talents, rectify the administrative management system, make administrative areas more refined, and maintain social stability.

We implemented the strategy of "respecting the king and rejecting foreign countries", supported the Emperor of Zhou, and realized "relying on the Emperor to make the princes". At the same time, unite the vassal States to realize "Nine Kings conquering the world". In 645, Guan Zhong died of illness.

During the period of Qi's assistance, Guan Zhong's major reforms in internal affairs and foreign affairs made Qi the first overlord in the Spring and Autumn Period. His ideological achievements are very remarkable. He believes that propriety, justice, honesty and shame are the spiritual pillars to maintain the country. Later generations compiled Guan Zhong's thoughts into a book, namely Guan Zi.

He put forward that "honesty actually knows etiquette, food and clothing know honor and disgrace", revealing that moral education is based on material life. It also emphasizes that "the four dimensions of propriety, justice, honesty and shame are inseparable, and the country is ruined" and attaches importance to the role of moral education.

There are 86 articles in Guanzi * * *, and there are 76 articles today, which is a collection of works mainly based on academic thoughts such as Qi Legalists. It covers astronomy, calendar, geography, economy and agriculture.

Early experience

Guan Zhong's father Guan Zhuang is a doctor of Qi. Later, his family came down, which led to Guan Zhong's poverty. In order to make a living, mutual friend Bao failed to do business together.

Guan Zhong was considered a humble businessman at that time. I have been to many places, met all kinds of people and seen a lot of the world, so I have accumulated rich social experience. When I was a soldier, I ran when it was cold. I tried to be an official several times, but I failed.
