Bangkok is a metropolis and a city that never sleeps. Tianha Road in the city center is a red light district, and some Japanese men can be seen everywhere on the roadside. Luke is one of the top figures in the red light district. She lives alone in a luxury apartment in Bangkok, and with the money she earns here, she can afford her big indigenous family far from the Laos border. One day, Luke met the man she fell in love with five years ago, one of her former Japanese guests, Ozawa. Ozawa is a retired soldier of the Japanese Self-Defense Force. He lives in a slum and barely makes ends meet. When Ozawa was going to Laos, Luke accompanied him back to his hometown and introduced Ozawa to his family and childhood friends. During the time spent in the small village, Ozawa began to get tired of the city life in Bangkok and could not help but yearn for the plain life here. However, it also uncovered the scars left by the colonial era.
