Memorial for fallen soldiers in Chongning County, built in February, 1946, is located at the bridge head of Park Lake in Tangchang Town, Pixian County. Surrounded by cypresses, it looks solemn. This monument was built by the people of Chongning County to commemorate the soldiers who died in the bloody battle in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. The whole monument consists of four parts: the top, the main body, the pedestal and the footing, with a height of about 6 meters. The cross section of the footing is square, and the side length is about1.5m. It is made of slats. The base is 1.5m in height, hexagonal in cross section and 1.25m in length on each side, decorated with plum blossom patterns. The monument is 3.8 meters high and square, surrounded by high and low stone tablets, which are closely protected. There are iron bars around the monument, and the words "I am brave and fearless" and "the light of the nation" are written on the left and right sides respectively. The autograph book is engraved with the names of Chongning County Mayor and Qingxing Township Mayor Wang. The books include "Chongning County Anti-Japanese Victory Monument" and "Chongning County Anti-Japanese Monument", which are beautifully carved, red in regular script, clear in handwriting and magnificent. This monument is extremely rare in the whole province and has high historical value. In 2000, the memorial to fallen soldiers in Chongning County was announced by Pixian People's Government as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.
