History of Weizhou
Weizhou and Zeng Riwei are the historical sites of Mianyi, which the local Qiang people used to call "Kewozha", and the Chinese homonym is similar to "Kezha". Victoria was first established in the seventh year of Tang Wude (AD 624). In the sixth year of Ding Yuan in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 165438+ BC 0 1), Mianzhu County was built here, which was called Mianzhu County. In the third year of Song Jingde (A.D. 1006), because Beijing sent Shandong Weizhou documents by mistake to Weizhou (now Xuecheng in Lixian County), Weizhou was changed to Weizhou, meaning "Xi Qiang in Wei Zhi". In the 24th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1406), Weizhou Prefecture (from Xuecheng) moved to Bazhou (now the east exit of Longxi Township), and then moved to Fengpingpo (now the Fengpingba of Guozhupu). Xuande moved to Baoziguan in the 3rd year (AD 1428) and moved to the ancient city on the left side of Nangou on the east bank of Minjiang River in the 7th year. Since then, it has been named Weizhou. In the fifth year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1727), Weizhou was abandoned and moved to Baoxian (now Xuecheng in Li County), so it was also called Xinbao County. However, Weizhou has since become a place name.

Weizhou originally belonged to Lixian County. In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), Weizhou was Xinbao Town, Lifan County. In 32 years (1943), it was changed to Weizhou Township.

195 1 February, Weizhou Township belongs to Hanchuan. 1In June, 953, Wenchuan County People's Government established Weizhou Town in Chengguan Village of Weizhou Township and its suburbs. Since then, Weizhou Township and Weizhou Town have coexisted as independent administrative organizations. 1On September 28th, 1992, the People's Government of Sichuan Province issued the Sichuan Citizen's Certificate (1992)10, which expanded the administrative area of Weizhou Town and put all the administrative areas of the former Weizhou Township under the jurisdiction of Weizhou Town. Since then, Weizhou Township has been merged into Weizhou Town.
