The Historical Evolution of Ganguantun Town
Four villages south of Xinzhuang in Ganguantun Township belonged to Qingyuan Township in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and belonged to the eighth district before 1937. The rest belong to Liulin District of Tangyi County, and 1956 belongs to Liulin District of guanxian. Ganguantun Township was founded in 1958, and was subordinate to Liulin and Qingshui Commune in the autumn of the same year. 1962 belongs to Liulin and Qingshui areas. 197 1 year, four small communes, Ganguantun and Buzhai in Liulin District and Lianzhai and Wangerzhuang in Qingshui District, merged into Ganguantun Commune. 1984 was renamed as Ganguantun Township.
