At the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, the resident population of Wenjiang District was 998,700, an increase of 0.8% over the end of 2022, including 788,900 urban residents.
Wenjiang District, which is under the jurisdiction of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is located in the middle of Chengdu Plain, with a total area of 276.23 square kilometers. It borders Qingyang District of Chengdu in the east, Shuangliu District in the south, chongzhou city in the west, Pidu District and Dujiangyan City in the north, with a width of18.5km from east to west and a length of 33km from north to south.
