What are the characteristics of rockeries and buildings in Lion Forest?
19 17, a businessman, Bei Runsheng, bought this garden, and spent nearly seven years renovating it, adding some scenic spots, and building a rockery in the west, commonly known as earth mountain. Moreover, Bei Runsheng also restored the old name of "Lion Forest", which was once famous in Suzhou.

Bei Runsheng planted flowers and trees in the garden, deepened the pool and built more buildings such as Yanyu Hall, Xiao Fang Hall and Jiushi Peak. Yanyutang is located in the north of the hall, which means a place to entertain guests.

Further north, there is a small square hall. There are rectangular brick moon holes on the east and west walls of the small square hall, plain wintersweet outside the east window and rockery trees outside the west window.

Taking the doors and windows as the frame and enjoying the scenery outside is called framing. Two "framed landscapes", such as two landscape paintings, show the gardener's ingenuity and profound artistic conception.

Out of the small square hall, you can see the Nine Lions Peak in the hall garden. This peak is formed by the accumulation of Taihu stones, which is one of the representatives of many lake peaks in Lion Forest. Magnificent, vertical and horizontal vortex holes, exquisite and strange, interesting. Named after imitating the shape of the Nine Lions.

Against the backdrop of the peak stone powder wall, the clear outline of the peak stone is outlined, and there is a secondary peak on the left, and the bamboo forest is swaying, making the peak stone more strange and unpredictable.

Not only that, there are many inscriptions in the garden that are also famous. The park is surrounded by a long corridor, on which there are inscriptions such as "Wen Tianxiang Poetry Monument" 7 1.

Wen Tianxiang Monument Pavilion, also called Zhengqi Pavilion, is located in the south of the garden and the west of Li Xuetang. The inscription in the pavilion is Wen Tianxiang's cursive plum blossom poem:

Quiet and empty, moving in groups, elegant and clear.

Who remembers the spring scenery? Plum blossom socket bottle.

Further west of Wen Tianxiang Monument Pavilion is a fan pavilion. A fan pavilion is a small pavilion that looks like a folded fan. There is a fan-shaped moon cave, a king's chair and a stone platform in the pavilion. Inside, you can enjoy the view of the garden.

In addition, Bei Runsheng also built Hu Xinting, Jiuqu Bridge, Zhou Shi, Hualan Hall, Jianshan Pagoda, artificial waterfalls and other buildings.

The central pavilion of the lake is located in the middle of the lake, hence the name. Looking from the west of the pavilion, there are waterfalls and fountains, which are divided into five folds and fall into the torrent, so the plaque of "Watching Waterfalls" is hung in the pavilion in the middle of the lake.

Hu Xinting is the best place to watch waterfalls, so it is also called "Waterfall Pavilion". The pavilion in the center of the lake is in sharp contrast with the zigzag bridge connecting the pavilion and the arch bridge in the south, which is flat and arched, straight and light and heavy.

Zhou Shi is a dry boat, so it is called "no boat". The middle and rear cabins of Zhou Shi have two floors, surrounded by 86 doors and windows. Gardens in the south of the Yangtze River are often dotted with Zhou Shi, suggesting that the master is noble, detached from the world and wandering around the rivers and lakes. Zhou Shi wrote couplets:

Catkin pool is warm in spring;

Lotus flowers are cool at night.

Located on the north side of Shizhou, the Dark Fragrance House is named after the poem "The shadow is shallow and the dark fragrance floats at dusk". The building is built by the lake, and the first floor is the passage. Upstairs to the south, you can enjoy most of the garden scenery, and together with Meiwenting, Wudie Waterfall, Tingtao Pavilion and 400-year-old ginkgo tree, it forms the western scenic spot of the garden, which is simple and quiet.

The Flower Basket Pavilion is built on the water with a platform in front. There is a huge screen door in front of the door, engraved with "Song Shou Tu", which contains pine, bamboo, orchid and cheese. There is a plaque on the painting, which reads "Water Temple Style" and couplets on both sides:

The world has read all the vicissitudes of life and passed through the past years. The stone can't be said, and the peaks are still the same;

Talk about romance, drink here, flowers will be interpreted, and Ling Bo will be brilliant.

There is a piano table in front of the screen, and there are floor vases on both sides of the table, which are more than one meter high. There are 14 French windows in the south of the hall, each of which is engraved with a Tang poem. There are six long windows in the north of the hall, all engraved with stories of landscape figures. The stair column in the hall does not fall to the ground, and the tail of the column is carved into the shape of a flower basket and plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum.

There are four screen doors in the middle of the hall, with Song Shoutu engraved on the south and Zhong Changtong's Music Theory engraved on the north. The flower basket hall is a good place to enjoy lotus in summer.

Next to the east side of the flower basket hall is Jianshan Building. Jianshanlou is a two-story building, which is built on the mountain and facing the water. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery in the garden here. Kanshanlou is built on the mountain and faces the water. This is a two-story building, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery in the garden.

The size of Jianshan Tower only refers to Bai Xuan's110, mainly to highlight the height of Bai Xuan and not to compete with rockeries. On the south side of the waterfall pavilion, I asked Mei Ge. Wenmei Pavilion, named after the Yi Chan case, is the main building of western landscape, built on a dirt mountain, with plum trees planted in front of the pavilion.

The whole lion forest is rich in water features, with streams and springs flowing, winding between caves and valleys, looming in the Woods, and hiding in caves and rocks, with profound changes and rich twists and turns, and water bodies in the forest gather. In the center of the main polymerization pool, there are pavilions, winding bridges and pavilions, which seem to be separated and combined, red scales jump into the water, green willows brush the water, and clouds float.

The treatment of water source is unique. Deep in the rockery to the west of the park, the rocks are cliff-like. A clear spring flows down the lake rocks, such as Qinming Valley, crisp and pleasant, forming a striking artificial waterfall in Suzhou classical gardens.

Shizilin rockery is the only large rockery in China gardens, which has important historical and artistic value. The rockeries in the lion forest are undulating, magnificent and beautifully carved. The rockery formation has 9 routes, 2 1 hole.

The horizontal direction is extremely tortuous, and the vertical direction strives for cyclical ups and downs. Hovering around through the hole, sometimes climbing to the top, sometimes sinking to the bottom, looking up at the mountains and overlooking the slope difference, like entering mountains and rivers.

The grottoes are mysterious, open and bright, deep and uneven, flat or narrow, which brings a mysterious and confusing taste to tourists.

Although the lion forest is not high, it is surrounded by caves and valleys. Although the chiseled pool is not deep, it has twists and turns, deep levels, waterfalls and flowing springs hidden among flowers and trees, amazing ancient and famous trees, exquisite and meticulous halls and pavilions, and it was a famous garden at that time.

There is an artificial waterfall next to Meg. The construction of this artificial waterfall is unprecedented in the history of Suzhou classical garden construction, and the rockery of the waterfall is first-class in modern rockery works.

The rockery has the same color, natural texture and exquisite hooking and embedding technology. The drop from the top of the mountain stream to the lake is nearly 10 meter, and the average width of the mountain stream is only 3 meters.

The mountain stream forms five steps. When the spring falls from the sky, the swift current, the gurgling sound of running water, the dangerous mountain stream, the swaying green trees on both sides, and the five-fold spring are vividly here. The artistic value of western rockery has been sublimated here.
