Guangxu Yuanbao was one of the currencies in circulation during Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. Zhang Zhidong, Governor of Guangdong and Guangxi in Hubei Province, took the lead in introducing the British mint to cast silver and copper coins, and then the provinces followed suit.
