On the morning of July 7th, near 10, the ancient bridge of Ming Dynasty in Jingde County, Anhui Province, Zhenhai Bridge (Tunxi Ancient Bridge), a national key cultural relics protection unit in Tunxi, Huangshan City, was destroyed by flash floods. Just yesterday, Lecheng Bridge, an ancient bridge in the Ming Dynasty in Jingde County, Anhui Province, was also damaged by floods, and the bridge deck was seriously damaged. In just two days, two ancient bridges that witnessed the history and humanities of ancient Huizhou were destroyed by floods, which made people sad.
The south bridge of Lecheng Bridge is Sanxi Old Street with many shops. How many tragicomedies have been staged between the ancient ferry and the commercial port for hundreds of years? The vicissitudes of history are written on the Lecheng Bridge like wind, rain and sunshine. Whether standing on the bridge or under it, the majestic appearance of the ancient bridge against the green embankment and the open river is not only simple, but also full of wisdom.
On July 6, 2020, the mountain torrents washed away Lecheng Bridge again, and people all sighed. We are looking forward to when this bridge can be rebuilt and when this ancient bridge can stand in front of the world again!
Lecheng Bridge Historical Lecheng Bridge, also known as Nanhe Bridge, is commonly known as Sanxi Bridge. Located at the intersection of Huishui, Baolinxi and Yuxi in sanxi town, with a total length of 156m.
According to local historians' research records, Lecheng Bridge was formerly known as the "Five-beam Bridge", and the earliest written records can be found in Jin Ao's genealogy.
There is a saying in the Story of Building Five Major Bridges written by Ding Mao, a Tongzhi juren in Qing Dynasty: "The five major bridges are the ferry crossing of the Nanhe River outside my home, far from Huizhou and close to neighboring villages, and there is no road here." Maybe before this, because the river is too wide, there is no financial resources to build it. After the Ming Dynasty, commerce began to sprout and wealthy businessmen appeared, which made it possible to build such a bridge.
Lecheng Bridge has been built and destroyed several times. During the Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty, the local people first built and advocated the repair of Nanhe Bridge because the bridge was damaged to varying degrees. Sanxi Bridge experienced many vicissitudes, until the 25th year of the Republic of China (1938), when Jiang Dan (a native of Jiangcun, doing business in Beijing and Zhejiang) renovated the bridge deck, Hu (a native of Shangzhuang, Jixi, whose shop number was Hu Hongfa, president of the Chamber of Commerce) helped to repair it.
Because Jiang Dan was in Beijing and Zhejiang, he could not come in person, so he was supervised by Sun Jiangze. This time, it was also funded by donations from Hanshan, a native of Changjiang Village, Anhui Province.
1997 The pier of Lecheng Bridge was destroyed by flood, and Jingde County government allocated special funds for maintenance and reinforcement.
On May 6, 2009, the People's Government of Jingde County issued a notice saying that pedestrians and vehicles of the ancient bridge passed quickly, and the piers were seriously damaged by floods in spring and summer, and some stone railings were broken, exposing steel bars; Some water diversion tips lean against the top of the trunk of weeds, which is prone to danger. In this regard, the county cultural and sports bureau and the relevant departments of the cultural relics management office have organized technicians to repair the damaged parts of the bridge.
On July 6, 2020, mountain torrents washed away Lecheng Bridge again. Local government staff said that after the incident, they had contacted experts from Anhui Cultural Relics Bureau and rushed to the scene to check the damage of the bridge. Next, the project will be approved and the ancient bridge will be rebuilt. "The rain has stopped, but the water level is still high."
