Biography of Zhen Huan: The fate of Hua Fei is very tragic. What about the real imperial concubine in history?
Anyone who has seen the harem may know that the villain in the early stage of this play is Hua Fei, and her fate in the play is already very tragic. She has always been feared by Yongzheng and has never left a child. But in history, she is even worse. She once gave birth to four children, but none survived.

According to historical records, the prototype of Hua Fei should be Dunsu imperial concubine. But there are not many descriptions of her in history books, and there are even fewer records. I only know her last name, not her first name. I only know that she had married him before Yongzheng ascended the throne. At that time, she was just a little lucky, and when Yongzheng ascended the throne, she also sealed the imperial concubine.

In the play, at the beginning, Hua Fei's identity was very noble, just below the queen, and she could help manage the affairs of the harem. But after all, there are so many harem concubines. If Hua Fei doesn't use some means, it is likely that her position will be difficult to protect, but she may really have feelings for the emperor.

Although Hua Fei in the play is very domineering, she is actually just a petite and weak woman in the official history. It is said that she was sickly since childhood, and even Yongzheng said that she was weak. Hua Fei in the plot is so jealous of Yongzheng that she can only use drugs to control her pregnancy. Even though she was pregnant once in the palace, she finally miscarried.

However, in history, Hua Fei once had four children, including three boys, so it seems that her status should be noble, but she was not so lucky at that time.

The first three children were born when they were still in Wang Fu, and the fourth child was conceived when Kangxi just died. You know, according to the ancient etiquette system, after the death of an emperor, there are many ceremonies all over the country, not to mention the wife of the heir, so even if she is pregnant, she should follow the whole etiquette.

So at that time, Hua Fei was pregnant with a child. In so many processes, the child in her stomach suffered many injuries, so she died at birth. And this birth, the blow to Hua Fei is also very big, which makes her already fragile body weaker and weaker. The previous three children all died at a very young age. Perhaps Hua Fei really has no fate with children.

Moreover, Yongzheng once commented on Hua Fei in history, saying that she was virtuous and gentle, which was in sharp contrast with the concubines in the palace. You know, in the plot, Hua Fei always quarrels with the queen, but according to Yongzheng's words, Hua Fei is still respectful to the queen, and there is no contradiction.

Just after she lost her fourth child, a few years later, Huafei was very ill. At that time, Yongzheng saw that she was in such pain that she was named the imperial concubine. This means that he hopes to use this gift to make Hua Fei happy and make her sick faster.

However, this practice did not play any role, and Hua Fei's condition became more and more serious. Perhaps it is because she has lost four children in succession over the years, and because of her own physical factors, her body and mind have collapsed to the extreme, and she may even have no desire to live.

So in the winter when she was ill, she closed her eyes and passed away. Shortly after her death, her brother Nian Gengyao was executed by Yongzheng for making a mistake. So because of this, many people speculate that perhaps the cause of Hua Fei's death is not so simple. Maybe she knew that Yongzheng wanted to get rid of her brother, so Hua Fei was very desperate and chose to commit suicide.

However, although Yongzheng was so unkind, he was still very concerned about Hua Fei's funeral. It is said that nearly 100,000 gold and silver ingots were spent to prepare for the funeral, and even all the officials and people were called to offer wine afterwards.

Even because of this degree, Yongzheng still felt that he did not meet the standards, so he reduced all the staff of the department of rites by two levels as a punishment for them. And Yongzheng was furious because of one thing in two days, and told his officials and even the prince that the dog's blood was dripping on his head, presumably because of Hua Fei.

It has also been found that posthumous title of Huafei is "Dunsu", and the word "Dunsu" has never been used by the emperor for his concubine since the founding of the Qing Dynasty, which shows that Yongzheng was actually very good to this Huafei.

But even though Yongzheng did so much for her and even gave it to such a noble posthumous title, there are still many people who think Yongzheng is deliberately hiding something, and some people say that Yongzheng himself didn't want Huafei to get pregnant, so he killed his own flesh and blood. This kind of Yongzheng is too cold-blooded.

But according to people who have dealt with Nian Gengyao's family later, it doesn't mean that he won't do such a thing. Even his wife's brother, who had been with him for so many years, showed no mercy, and the Nian Shi family basically ceased to exist.
