Which emperor made the rules of becoming a monk in Ganye Temple?
Ganye Temple is a royal temple in the forbidden garden of Tang Dynasty.

At first, Emperor Yang Di's literary talent and martial arts were very famous among the emperors in China. He built a canal and conquered Korea, so he felt that what he did was unparalleled in the world. He thought it was a cause given to him by God, so he built Kanye Temple.

Ganye Temple is famous for Wu Zetian becoming a monk here.

According to Zi Jian, on May 26th, the 23rd year of Zhenguan (AD 649), Emperor Taizong died and became a monk in Ganye Temple. "In March of the fifth year of Yonghui in Tang Gaozong (AD 654), he was ordered to return to the palace".
