In the late 1970s, there was a gun battle between police and gangsters in China. 1979 July 14, gangsters Ling and Xu Zhongzheng were rounded up by the police and killed six policemen for stealing guns. Ling Yuan was a gun officer in Xincheng Camp of Tokyo Ridge Commune in Liaoyang City. In July 1979, 1 1, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the deputy captain of the production team and the secretary of the battalion commander, because he was suspected of taking secret actions on the issue of conscription. Later, Xu Zhongzheng and Wang Min, a female worker of the motor factory who used to be a school gun in the army, stole three automatic rifles and multiple bullets from the militia rifle depot.
After Ling Guoliang committed the crime of stealing guns, he colluded with Mu Chunlin, a temporary worker of the municipal company, to steal the dump truck, eager to retaliate against the vice captain of the production team and the family members of the secretary. Mu Chunlin refused to drive. After being killed by Ling Guoliang, Xu Zhongzheng shot and killed two people. The bodies were buried in corn, and then the three fled to Tieling domestic cars.
Liaoyang police reported the case to Liaoning Provincial Public Security Bureau after learning the case. When Ling Guo Liang and his party were found fleeing to Tieling, they ordered Tieling police to stop them. Later, Tieling police set up a tracking team to control stations and major traffic routes.
The police tracked the villagers along the road and told them to run away from the bandits. After finding a woman wearing blue overalls acting suspiciously, the investigation confirmed that the woman was the suspect Wang Min and arrested her. When the police chased Wang, Ling and Xu Zhongzheng suddenly shot and killed two policemen. They had been hiding in the bushes not far away.
After that, the nearby police came to have a fierce exchange of fire with both sides. Because Lexus and Xu Zhijun use fully automatic rifles and have sufficient ammunition, they also have geographical advantages. The police who used ordinary weapons could not compete with the two men, which led to an exchange of fire between the two sides and four policemen were killed.
In order to avoid too many casualties, the police reported weapons and equipment support to their superiors. The Liaoning Provincial Public Security Bureau ordered the man to be killed. When the troops guarding the bridge arrived, the army and police, together with weapons and manpower reinforcements, killed Ling and Xu Zhongzheng.
The battle ended in the victory of the police, and six policemen who died in the line of duty were awarded the honorary title of "revolutionary martyrs" by the relevant parties, and they were commended with first-class merit. Disciplinary action was taken against the leading cadres of the New Town Brigade of Dongling Commune.
At the same time, this shooting incident also taught us a profound lesson: criminals can easily get guns, which shows that gun control is lax and has a great impact on society.
