Is it still popular under the current system?
The iron rice bowl of civil servants and institutions has been envied by many people. The iron rice bowl is stability, and drought and flood guarantee the harvest. In addition, China people's traditional concept of "excellent education for officials" makes many people proud of being squeezed into the system. Nowadays, with the gradual improvement of fairness and transparency, a large number of young people choose to take the examination of civil servants and institutions to enter the system. However, three main factors appear in today's system.

First, the aging of cadres and workers is serious

At present, the recruitment of civil servants and institutions is limited by the length of service, and they are not allowed to leave the institution within five years after being admitted to the institution. If you are a civil servant, you can't take any exams except selection. From this, we can imagine that one exam is almost equivalent to life tenure, and unless they resign, they can't be admitted to a more promising unit. This restriction makes most people no longer consider the posts in grass-roots counties and towns in the recruitment of civil servants and institutions, because once they reach the grass-roots, it is difficult to go out, which leads to fierce competition in urban jobs, but the grass-roots are left unattended and young people cannot be recruited. In addition, the old cadres in grassroots counties and townships are older. They either often ask for leave or leave their posts, and they are no longer reliable working forces. Therefore, in a seemingly full unit, only a few young people can actually work, and the leaders have no other choice. More tasks can only be assigned to young people, not to mention cleaning toilets.

Civil servants within the system

Second, the ratio of men to women is gradually unbalanced.

Due to the rapid economic and social development, the consumption level has been rising all the way, but the corresponding wage income is difficult to match. If young people who just graduated want to get married, they are looking forward to the high housing prices and wedding expenses. For boys who are under too much pressure to survive, when can they have a fixed salary to buy a car and a house? These are the basic conditions for marriage in the current society, so many graduated boys do not choose to apply for civil servants. Girls, on the other hand, have no financial pressure to get married, and work in the system is stable and easy, which is the most suitable choice. Therefore, a large number of graduate girls joined the army of public examinations.

There are more women than men in the army of public examinations.

Three, civil servants and institutions to recruit professional restrictions.

In the process of studying and going to school, students will eventually be divided into liberal arts and science in high school, while most girls choose liberal arts and most boys choose science and engineering. After the division of arts and sciences in senior high schools, the choice of majors in universities naturally follows the original direction, which leads to the phenomenon that there are far more girls than boys in arts and sciences colleges, while in science and engineering, the ratio of male to female is even less than 1: 10. The different choices of male and female majors make this extreme phenomenon more serious.

Regrettably, in the recruitment of civil servants and institutions, most of the professional requirements for post setting are liberal arts majors, which leads to too many boys unable to apply for the exam and can only choose the employment direction. So there are more girls than boys in the crowd.

Therefore, among the number of people who take the civil servants and institutions every year, the proportion of girls is much higher than that of boys, and seven or eight out of ten young people who are admitted to the system are girls.

There are more women than men.

From the above reasons, it is a common phenomenon that there are fewer young people and more women than men in the grass-roots system. Therefore, when arranging the sanitation and cleaning work of men's toilets, unit leaders may find that there are no available male cadres, and if someone is responsible for this work, they can only choose female cadres. What is even more helpless is that this situation may not be changed in a short time.
