Legend:

1, Golden Horse Chicken Legend

There is a mountain in the east of Kunming called Jinma Mountain, and there is a mountain in the west called Bijia Mountain, which is historically called "the gods in the east and the spiritual instruments in the west" and is a symbol of Yunnan. As early as the Ming Dynasty, "Golden Horse in the Morning" and "Autumn Blue Chicken" were regarded as scenic spots in Kunming.

There are two main contents in the legend of golden horse and chicken crow circulating in Kunming: First, it is said that ancient Kunming was a desolate and barren land with no trees and flowers on the mountains. One day, the sun rose, and a fine horse flew out of the sun with a "rumbling" noise; When the moon came out that day, a rooster carved by Jasper flew out with the sound of "Flowers". As a result, Kunming is full of golden flowers, mountains and golden fruits, dams and blue seas, birds flying and fish and shrimp jumping.

Secondly, according to legend, King Yong of Wu married Princess Ailao, and Golden Horse and Blue Phoenix were gifts given to King Dian as dowry. Later, because the king of Dian had two princes, they both gave way to the throne. The old king of Yunnan accepted the prime minister's plan and asked the two princes to look for the golden horse and the blue chicken in the mountains. As a result, the two princes never came back after they went to find the golden horse and chicken, which became the reason why many folk customs in Kunming commemorated the golden horse and chicken.

The legend of golden horse crowing has a long history, and it was circulated among the people as early as the Western Han Dynasty BC. According to historical records, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty listened to the alchemist's statement and thought that there was a chicken in the south of Yunling, with green feathers, which could break stones and fly in the air, dazzling and long voice. Xuan Di, Emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty, appointed Wang Bao to cure too much, and went to Yunnan to invite him to cure too much. Wang Bao did not arrive for some reason, but also wrote "Ode to Golden Horse and Chicken" as a sacrifice. Huayang Guozhi, a long canal in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, says that there are dragons and horses in Dianchi Lake, and horses and dragons mate to produce good horses, which can be "500 Ali days". Li Daoyuan (AD 472-527), a geographer in the Northern Wei Dynasty, also mentioned that there was a golden horse and a blue chicken in Yushan, Dayao, which was "common among the people". After the Tang and Song Dynasties, this wonderful legend was used by Buddhists, saying that the Golden Horse was the "god horse" of the Buddhist Ashoka. After the Tang Dynasty, there were temples such as Golden Horse and Biji in the East and West Mountains of Kunming, which people regarded as gods to worship. Scholars in past dynasties recited many poems about Golden Horse and Blue Phoenix.

2. The legend of Yuantong Temple:

According to legend, during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, it rained heavily all night in downtown Kunming. The next morning, a monk walked out of the monk's room, only to find leaves all over the yard and turned to the main hall to burn incense. I saw two mud dragons dripping water on the wooden pillars, as if they had just returned from the water. Frightened, the monk turned and ran to report to the abbot. The abbot was dubious, so he led a group of monks into the main hall and found that the two dragons were covered in water, and moss (seaweed and the like) stuck to scales. The dragon's chest gasped together. Seeing this, the monks were dumbfounded and dared not vent their anger. One of them is little novice monk, looking around curiously. When he walked out of the temple, he saw a thick water trail on the ground, extending out of the temple along the mud dragon coiled around the post. Little novice monk pointed to the monks, who seemed to understand, and crept along the water trail together to find the root cause. The parties came to the Jiulongchi bank of today's Cuihu Lake (northwest of the slope of Yuantong Street), and a large group of people talked about it on the shore. It turned out that when it rained heavily last night, many people heard the dragon roar, and the sound of fighting lasted all night. Others picked up a few bowls of dragon shells on the shore, and the monks suddenly realized that it was two mud in this temple, Long Ben, who went into the sea (Cuihu was originally called Caihaizi), who expelled a dragon that occupied Jiulong Pool. Before that, Kunming was often flooded by dragons, flooding the streets of half the city, and the people complained bitterly. After this war, the dragon disappeared and the people lived and worked in peace.

Behind the main hall of Yuantong Temple, there is a curse dumpling platform. According to legend, a long time ago, it was a big cave hidden by dragons. The dragon occupies a commanding height. It often plays pranks and hurts people. There is a Panlong Temple about 40 kilometers south of Kunming. The monk's name is Azanli. He knew the ancient Xia Wen, which recorded the process of Dayu's water control in detail. Among them, there is the curse of dragon. The elderly in Kunming built a dragon platform here to collect dragons, and respectfully invited Li Zan to recite the scriptures day and night on the platform. A few days later, the effect of Dharma Mantra appeared. The dragon fell from the hole to the ground for mercy, and Li Zan waved it away. Since then, the dragon flood disaster has disappeared.

3. The Legend of Ashima

According to legend, the Bubala family proposed to Ashima, but there was no result, so they took Ashima away. After learning about this, Ahei climbed over 749 mountains and rushed back from a distant pasture to save Ashima. After returning home, Ashima has been robbed for three days and nights. He rode across the 998 1 river to catch Bubala's home. After many twists and turns, Ashima was finally rescued.

Ashima was saved, and the two brothers and sisters rode home happily. I don't know how many roads they walked, crossed several big ditches and climbed several mountains. It was dark and windy. In order to go home as soon as possible, they continued to walk. Walking, after a gust of wind, dark clouds rolled in the sky and thunder rumbled in the fields. Seeing that the storm was coming, they had to both dismount, but they couldn't see anything in the dark. As a result, both of them got lost. At this time, the wind and rain are urgent, and you can't see it, but don't shout. The mountain torrents came down and the water became deeper and deeper. Once separated, no one can find anyone. It was not until the flood receded that Ashima and Ahei met again. But both of them lost their way and shivered with cold. They're worried. At this moment, a buzzing little bee flew towards them. After the bees circled around them three times, they began to talk: "Buzz, buzz, come to my house to rest tonight." My house is in the cave. " After speaking, I fell on the Baotou of Ashima. Ashima picked it up with her hand and walked towards the direction where bees were flying in the Algarve station.

Bees brought Ahei and Ashima into the Stone Forest. It is wet and slippery here. Ashima reached for a stone to help, but stuck to the cliff and couldn't get down any more. She had to say sadly to Brother Hei: "Brother Hei, Brother Hei, find a way to save me and find a white pig and white cock to sacrifice to God."

After listening to this, Brother Black was sad and anxious. He dried his tears, climbed over 49 mountains and 8 1 river, and finally found the white rooster. But I searched all the nine villages in Shibuya village, and I didn't find the white pig. No choice but to find a black pig and dig a basket of white mud on the mountain. He mixed the mud into slurry, smeared it on the black pig, and used it to fill the white pig, so that all the white pigs and white chickens were available. But when he was ready to return to Shilin happily, he was too tired because of running around for days. After climbing the last mountain, he fell asleep as soon as he sat down. At this time, there was another heavy rain without Spama. The rain woke him from his dream. When he went to see the pig, the white mud on the black pig was washed clean by the rain. Cliff gods can't sacrifice, and Ashima can't be saved. Ah hei regretted it. He cried bitterly, but if the cliff god didn't let go, Ashima would stick to that big stone forever. After a long time, it was washed away by the rain, which formed what we see now. The pool water next to the Ashima stone statue was deposited by the rain that washed the white pig into a black pig at that time.

4. The legend of crossing the bridge rice noodles:

Legend has it that there is a scholar in Mengzi County, handsome and smart, but he likes to play and doesn't want to study hard. He has a beautiful wife and a young son. Between husband and wife, the feelings are very deep. However, his wife is deeply worried about the scholar's pleasure and boredom in reading. One day, he said to the scholar, "You play all day, don't want to make progress, don't want to fight for your wife and children?" After listening to his wife's words, he was deeply ashamed, so he built a study in Nanhu, lived alone and studied hard. His wife shared his worries with him and sent three meals a day to the study to pay for his life. Over time, students have made great progress in their studies, but they are getting thinner and thinner. The wife saw it in her eyes and was very distressed. She thought about it. One day, the chicken was slaughtered to simmer soup, sliced meat, and rice noodles were prepared to send breakfast to the scholar. When my son was young, he played with pieces of meat in the soup. With a wife, he forgave his son's prank and quickly picked up the meat slices, watched, cooked, tasted, tasted and rejoiced. That is to say, carry a can and a basket and send them to the study. He fainted on the Nanhu Bridge because of overwork. He arrived in Asia when he heard the news. When he saw his wife wake up, the soup and rice noodles were intact. The noodle soup is full of oil slick, without a trace of hot air. He suspected that the soup was cold, so he covered the soup jar with his palm. The soup was very hot. He was very surprised. He asked his wife about the whole process of production, and she explained them one by one. For a long time, the scholar said that this meal can be called crossing the bridge rice noodles. Under the careful care of his wife, the scholar won a scholarship as a juren and was told by the local people as a story.

From then on, the rice noodles across the bridge spread like wildfire and became a famous food in Yunnan.

5. The legend of the West Temple Tower:

In the center of Kunming, apart from the Golden Horse and Biji Square, which has spectacular scenery every 60 years, the most famous historical sites are the pagodas of the East and West temples, separated by hundreds of meters. The legends of these two pagodas and dragons are well-known in Kunming, so that there is the biggest taboo in Kunming citizen culture, "Cycas bloom and horses grow horns", me and most of them. ! ! I've heard the saying that the black dragon under the East West Temple Tower is so powerful that the two towers can't suppress it. In order to appease the black dragon, we should open a well in the middle of the twin towers, and if necessary, open the lid to let the black dragon breathe and make sacrifices.

6. The legend of Black Dragon Pool:

A long time ago, Kunming was often dry, and once it didn't rain for months. A young man named Little Black Brother, in a fit of pique, wrote a doggerel to scold the Dragon King:

The Dragon King was killed by the sword, and there was famine everywhere. I pulled out your scales when I met you!

Brother Xiaohei told the villagers not to look for water. There is no airtight wall in the world. When Brother Hei scolded the Dragon King, the pockmarked Old Dragon King on the Five Old Mountains heard about it and was very angry. But the storm in Kunming happened to be his responsibility.

The old dragon king decided to punish little black brother. So he became a pockmarked old man with white hair, sitting at the mountain pass waiting for the little black brother. Brother Hei saw the pockmarked old man, asked him for water and asked him to lead the way. The old man led the little black brother into a dark mountain. At the foot of the mountain, he saw a pool of spring water. Little black brother was about to drink water when he heard a crash. Little black brother was tied up by a thick and long chain.

The old pockmarked man said, "I am the Dragon King. If you dare to scold me, I will throw you into this deep pool and drown! " "

Hearing this, the little black brother was furious and gnashed his teeth. "I just want to scold you, the immortal dragon king!" " "

The pockmarked-faced dragon king said, "You and I have no enmity in previous lives, and we have no enmity in this life. Why did you scold me? "

Little black brother said, "If it doesn't rain for half a year, you will kill a common people. Who are you scolding if you don't scold? "

The Dragon King said, "When it is dry, it will rain, and when it rains, it will rain. These things are exhausting. I am an old man and I really can't control it. "

Little black brother said angrily, "Don't worry about it, I'll take care of it."

"You can try to do it, but promise me two things."

"What is it?"

"Rain is what dragons do. If it wants to rain, it must first become a dragon. This is the first thing. Second, after Jackie Chan, you are locked in this Longtan, and it rains only once every six months. "

"I promised you everything, but I can't wait six months. I'm going to rain today. "

"But today is not a rainy day. You can leave if you want. If it doesn't rain once, your chain will gain 1000 pounds. Will you do it? "

"fuck!"

The pockmarked-faced dragon king nodded, with one finger, untied the chain on Little Black Brother, and let him drink three mouthfuls of Longtan water. Little black brother suddenly turned into a big black dragon, rushed into the air and began to rain. It has been raining for three days and nights, the villagers have been saved and the crops have come back to life.

Little black brother was locked under the Longtan after the rain. Whenever there is a big drought, little black brother goes to rain privately, and the chain increases by 1000 kg. Every time he tried to break free from the chains, he struggled in Longtan, because it was a black dragon, and the sweat was black, which made Longtan black. This Longtan is called Black Dragon Pool. In memory of Little Black Brother, the Black Dragon Palace and the Dragon Spring View were also built.

7. The legend of Sleeping Beauty:

Xishan Mountain has dense forests, lush flowers and plants, beautiful scenery and excellent scenery. In ancient times, it was known as "the first beauty in central Yunnan". Seen from the southeast of Kunming, the West Mountain looks like a beautiful woman lying on both sides of Dianchi Lake. Her head, chest, abdomen and legs are lifelike, and her hair flutters in the waves of Dianchi Lake, which makes her look graceful and charming, so she is also called sleeping beauty.

According to folklore, in ancient times, a princess couldn't bear the loneliness in the palace and secretly left the palace and married a young man. Later, the king broke up the happy marriage and killed the young man with a trick. The princess was heartbroken and wept bitterly, and the tears merged into Dianchi Lake, and she turned her back to the sky and turned into Xishan. (Remarks: Actually, this story is based on a joke told by Guo Moruo when he was playing in Kunming. It belongs to a legend that is really out of nothing and has been circulating for less than 30 years. )

8. The Legend of Dianchi Lake

Legend has it that a long time ago, there were no lakes and streams in Kunming, only a barren land. Thousands of acres of forgotten land depend on the weather for food. I don't know when it will stop raining here and the fields will become dry and barren.

A young hunter walked for many years to find water for Kunming and bid farewell to his new wife. Finally, he came to the East China Sea. He saw an eagle pick up a little red fish from the seaside. He shot down the eagle with one arrow and saved the little red fish. Unexpectedly, the little red fish is the third princess of the East China Sea Dragon King. Seeing that the young hunter was brave and kind, the Dragon King wanted to marry his daughter to the young hunter, but the young man refused, so the Dragon King turned the hunter into a little yellow dragon. Little Huanglong can't forget his thoughts about his wife and hometown.

One day, the Dragon King took advantage of its surprise, drank enough water from the East China Sea and flew back to Kunming. However, his wife died of excessive thinking and turned into Sleeping Beauty Mountain (now Xishan near Dianchi Lake). Little Huanglong was heartbroken. After spitting the seawater in his stomach, he crashed into a mountain and died. The East China Sea water he spit out flowed into Dianchi Lake.

Since then, Kunming with Dianchi Lake water has become rich and beautiful.

9. The legend of the source of Panlong River

At the source of Panlong River, there is a small village with a quiet environment-Nanying Village. Here, people live in harmony with nature. Especially in Nanying Complete Primary School, there is a pool of semi-clear spring water, surrounded by green trees, and the school is particularly quiet when it is on holiday. However, it is not always so quiet and harmonious.

Legend has it that long ago, there was no such spring here. There is a big black cave among the green trees here. The mouth of the cave was cold and windy, and there lived a greedy and ferocious python in the cave. Therefore, the locals call this cave "snake cave". As long as someone walks through here, the python will open that horrible maw at the mouth of the cave, and with a gentle breath, passers-by will unconsciously take off from the ground. At this moment, I only see a big mouth full of fangs, but the outside world is getting farther and farther ... passers-by are swallowed into the python's stomach. Many villagers lost their relatives as a result.

The village is shrouded in fear of death. ...

In Nanying Village, there is an old man who sells north and south groceries for a living. The only relative of the old man is the little donkey who lives alone with him. In order to kill the people, the clever and brave old man came up with a way to subdue the python. The old man found the little donkey and a lot of powerful explosives, enough to raze a mountain bag to the ground. The old man put the explosive bag on the donkey and drove the donkey to the hole near the python. The old man took out the flint, lit the fuse and shouted, and the flame ran up the fuse. The old man waved a whip and gave the donkey a whip. The donkey "brushed" and ran to the mouth of the mountain. At this time, the python thought that there was food delivered to the door, so it lazily opened its mouth and took a deep breath. At this moment, the sky suddenly collapsed, smoke filled, blood splashed ... the old man's little donkey died, and the evil python finally got what it deserved. When the pythons' purulent blood ran out, people were surprised to find that there was a bright spring here, and from then on Nanying Primary School had this pool of spring water. Locals call the spring water "snake cave spring", while the stream where the spring water flows is named "Golden Snake Creek". From then on, people lived by water and finally lived a quiet and happy life. However, people have not forgotten the wise old man and the brave little donkey. People tell their stories from generation to generation. People here cherish this spring water, which never discharges sewage, because people want to continue this quiet and happy life from generation to generation.

10. The Legend of Kunming City

Facing the old map of Kunming, people will find that the whole city of Kunming is completely like a turtle, which is really amazing. Kunming, an ancient city on the plateau, adds a bit of mystery. Why should the ancient city of Kunming be built in the shape of a turtle? A distant historical story solved this strange and ancient mystery:

During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, Mu Ying, a general guarding Yunnan, decided to build a good city in Yunnan. How to build it? He didn't have a good plan, just when he was anxious about it, one night, he had a dream:

A python, with a long body, is sucking in Kunming with its mouth open. The treasure in the city was completely swallowed into its stomach. Mu Ying was furious and shouted loudly, "Where is the demon python that dares to suck the treasure in our city and make our people poor?" The python replied, "I live in the mountains north of the city, with my tail in Sichuan and my head in Yunnan." I eat in Yunnan and travel in Sichuan. What is it to you? " Hearing this, Mu Ying drew an arrow to cut the python, and the python rolled on the spot and became a black-faced man. He was killed in a fight with Mu Ying. I saw Kowloon riding a turtle in the Kowloon Pond of Bihu Lake. The turtle finally stopped the python.

When Mu Ying woke up, he felt very strange, but he couldn't explain his dream, so he invited Wang Zhanhai, a famous geomancer at that time, and begged him to break his dream. Wang Zhanhai pondered for a moment, counted with his fingers, and then plausibly said, "This is the Changchong Mountain in the north of the city. Look at it, its head is facing Yunnan City, and it feels like it is going to swallow the ancient city. " Hearing this, Mu Ying was surprised and quickly asked for advice on how to crack it. Wang Zhanhai said: "The best way to solve the problem is to divert and turn harm into benefit." Then he said his own opinion: it is unlucky that Changchong Mountain winds from the northeast, but in my eyes, it has gathered into a powerful auspicious dragon god over the ancient city. This is a once-in-a-lifetime "Ziweilong" pulse. Python is a long-lived thing, but it is also a feminine body. It has a strange personality. If it is eased, it will certainly hurt the Lebanese people. In this way, there must be a spirit to overcome it, to transform it, to supplement it and to change it. This role must be played by Linggui, who is also an immortal thing, but has a masculine body. Under the guidance of Wang Zhanhai, Mu Ying built the old Kunming into the shape of a turtle. The south gate is the turtle's head, the north gate is the turtle's tail, and the big east gate, small east gate, big west gate and small west gate are the turtle's four feet. In this way, at the foot of the winding Changchong Mountain in the north, the old Kunming city is connected with its blood, forming a state of intersection of turtles and snakes, which makes Kunming have a momentum made in heaven, with mountains and waters far away and everything integrated. Wang Zhanhai stood on Wuhua Mountain, looking at the well-organized Kunming City, smiling. He proudly said: "The dragon spirit in Kunming is getting stronger and stronger, and Feng Shui will definitely benefit the people of Yunnan. I believe that after 500 years, Yunnan will definitely win Jiangnan. "

1 1.

1. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the governor of Yunnan, Chen Yongbin, believed in Taoism. One day, he dreamed that the immortal Lv Dongbin met at the foot of Mingfeng Mountain about the next day. The next day, Chen Yongbin waited at the foot of the mountain very early. I saw an old man herding sheep and leading them with a rope. On the hillside, he used a casserole to mix taro and another pot as the lid. When he approached, the old man suddenly disappeared, and there was no sheep with a rope. Chen Yongbin suddenly realized that the two pots together are the word "Lu", and the sheep with rope means "pure yang", which is the name. This old man is Lv Dongbin. Lu Zhenren instructed him that Ming Fengshan is a paradise! So when he met Lv Dongbin and crossed Yang Qinghe, Chen Yongbin built the Yingxian Bridge and the Golden Temple on the mountain.

2. When Chen Yongbin was young, he was poor and wandering around. He believes in Taoism and worships the immortals who travel everywhere, come and go without a trace, are unpredictable and live forever. He heard that there is a Taoist temple on Mingfeng Mountain, which is a treasure trove of geomantic omen. Lv Dongbin, the Eight Immortals, lives there, so he stays in the cave every day and devotes himself to studying and practicing Buddhism, hoping to meet Lv Dongbin one day. A few years later, even Lv Dongbin had never met him. He became a little impatient and easily lost his temper. Seeing this, Taoist Taoist priests reminded: "An angry person can't meet a fairy, even if he does, he won't recognize it." After listening to the Taoist priest's words, I felt reasonable, so I went back to the cave and wrote a few big words on both sides of the cave door: "I want to see Lv Dongbin after I get angry."

After a while, one day, he met an old man at the gate of the cave. I saw that the old man was about eighty or ninety years old, but he was handsome and healthy. At such an age, he came to this deep forest alone. Look at him like a saint. Is he a fairy? Chen Yongbin warmly invited the old man to rest in his cave.

In the cave, Chen Yongbin took out the old wine that he had been reluctant to drink for many years, poured a cup with the carefully collected heirloom Yulong glass, and respectfully handed it to the old man. There was a thump, and the old man accidentally dropped the glass and the jade dragon glass broke. Chen Yongbin was so angry that he shouted angrily at the old man: "This is my family heirloom, you have to pay for it!" "The old man stood up unhurriedly, even apologized and said," I will pay you back. I'll pay you back twice. Please follow me. "

Chen Yongbin thought that the old man was going to buy a jade dragon wine glass and return it to him, so he followed him to the mouth of the cave. Suddenly, the old man turned into a smoke and disappeared. Chen Yongbin realized that the old man was a fairy. When he looked back, he saw that the couplet on the cave door had become: "I set my heart on fire and wanted to see Lv Dongbin. When I saw Lv Dongbin, my heart was reborn. "

Chen Yongbin really blamed himself after reading it. He went back to the cave and drank all the wine. He fell asleep drunk. In the gloom, he dreamed that he was promoted to be the governor of Yunnan. After waking up, he was inspired by his dreams and studied hard for several years. His dream has finally come true. He won the first prize and later became the governor of Yunnan. In order to commemorate his adventure with Lv Dongbin on Mingfeng Mountain, he built a golden palace on the mountain.

Basically, that's all I know, because I read a book before, which collected all the legends and old allusions in Kunming, such as Eight Doors, but I can't remember them all. Please read it first.
