The Miao people in the village poured in all directions from the open hillside between several Miao villages. "Flower pole" is an important symbol of stepping on Huashan Festival. Generally, tall pine or cypress trees are chosen and tied with flowers and colorful flags. The people in Dinghua Village (also called Flower Head) are recognized as "people with good hearts". On the day of "Treading Flower Mountain", participants in "Treading Flower Mountain" were first toasted and blessed by "Huahuitou", and then the "Treading Flower Mountain" festival was announced. At this time, gongs and drums were loud inside and outside Huashan, firecrackers were heard one after another, gongs sounded one after another, flowers and friendly flags fluttered in the wind, and various celebrations began one after another. Some young men and women sing folk songs, while others dance three steps.

The Miao people in northeastern Yunnan and southern Yunnan celebrate the "Huashan Festival" on June 6th of the lunar calendar every year. It is said that the ancient Miao people were defeated and exiled in a foreign land, and they shed tears. On the sixth day of June, their ancestors appeared and advised them not to be too sad. They should go to the top of the mountain to play lusheng and sing and dance for us. After that, a flower fell from the sky and hung on a tree. Everyone sings and dances around the tree. Miao people should put on holiday costumes, plant a flower tree on the high mountain, and hold activities such as Lusheng dance, bullfighting, lion dance and flower pole climbing. Among them, the flower-climbing pole is eye-catching, and whoever climbs high will win the pig's head and good wine award.
