The Historical Evolution of Jinan University Law School
Jinan University Law School has a long history, and has undergone great changes in society. It has gone through more than 80 years of wind and rain, and now it is presented to the world with a brand-new look. The past is long, and the origin of law education in Jinan University can be traced back to the 1920s. 1927 when the national Jinan university was founded in Shanghai, it set up a law department and entrusted it with an important mission: "to make scholars from all over the world get precise preparation and strict training, and generally produce useful judicial talents, serve the country, win glory for the nation and strive for freedom and equality for overseas Chinese." Law School was founded in 1930, which is one of the five colleges in the whole school and one of the earliest law schools in China. The law school consists of law department, political economy department and diplomatic and consular college. There are many famous teachers in Jinan University Law School, which was once called prestige. Shi Qi, a famous jurist and doctor of law at Yale University, has served as the head of the law department and the dean of the law school. Zhai, an expert in modern international politics and constitutional law, Pan Guangdan, a well-known sociologist and doctor of law from the National University of Lyon, France, and famous scholars Sun, Luo Longji and Tong Guanxian all taught here. 1932, the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 broke out in Shanghai. It's really like being reduced to a war zone, running schools in Shanghai Concession, Hangzhou and Guangzhou, and the law school transferred to Guangzhou for classes. In September of that year, three students moved back to Zhenru, and the law school was ordered to be abolished, and the students in school studied until graduation. After War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, Jinan University moved back to Shanghai. Wenhai Zou, Zhou Fang and Chen Wenbin successively served as presidents, and the famous scholar Biaoru Chen once taught here. 1949 Jinan University was closed and the Law School was merged into Fudan University. Jinan University 1958 rebuilt in Guangzhou, 1978 resumed classes. Schools emancipate their minds, deepen educational reform and expand opening up. In order to meet the needs of the new situation, 1990, the school of economics added a major in economic law and established an economic legal system. In 1992 and 1996, the school listed "Introduction to the Basic Law of Hong Kong" and "Introduction to the Basic Law of Macao" as compulsory courses for all students from Hong Kong and Macao. 200 1, the school tried to go to college again. In 2004, the first intellectual property institute in South China was established. 20 1 1, Law School and Intellectual Property College of Jinan University were formally merged into Law School/Intellectual Property College.
