My hometown Jingzhou-An Lan Gate.
An Lan Gate is actually today's West Gate.

In the fifty-third year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, that is, (1788), the Yangtze River burst its banks. At that time, floods rushed into the city from Ximen and Shuikinmen, killing and injuring tens of thousands of people. Simon was also washed away. Later, when it was rebuilt, Simon shrank inward by more than ten feet and the terrain was raised.

When the project was completed, the local government and people were very excited. In order to celebrate the stability of the flood in the future, it was named An Lan Gate. So it has been used ever since.

Today's city gate is well preserved, and the arc gate is 5.8 meters high and 4.5 meters wide. The depth is10.04m.. The main entrance is 6.6m high, 4.85m wide and15.5m deep. The inner and outer doors are 42 meters apart, and Wengcheng is rectangular.

However, today's West Gate has been completely demolished and is facing reconstruction. The bustling north-south street outside the city is in ruins, and the sides of Jingmi Road have been demolished.

Construction along the moat has begun. I heard from a friend that a wetland park will be built here. If so, Ximen will be the most beautiful place in Jingzhou.

Walking through this heavy gate, you can see a straight asphalt road, which extends to Binyang Building on Jingzhou East Road.

Walking 50 meters to the east, Lunan was the former vegetable market, which was demolished on 20 14 and turned into a parking lot. Next to the parking lot is the Children's Health Hospital, Ximen Women and Children.

Lubei is the former old dormitory area, which extends to the back door of the Three Kingdoms Park.

Today, the face of the past has disappeared, and only the gate of the Three Kingdoms Park still retains its former appearance (just forgot to take pictures at that time). Entering from the back door is a lake, and the road along the lake is the back wall of Jingzhou Museum.

There is an island in the middle of the lake, which is still inhabited. When I came here before, I remembered that it was a very shabby house, but now I see it has taken on a new look.

A new building has been built in the northeast corner of the park. For various reasons, I never went to see it. If I have the chance to revisit it, I will definitely go and see what it is.
