? -Record the activity of "Exploring the Happy West Road with Blood Left by the Anti-Japanese War"

Wen Yang? Song Daojun/Map

? On the morning of September 23rd, 2002/KLOC-0, a special ceremony will be held in front of the world-famous "Zero Kilometer" landmark of Lexi Highway during the Anti-Japanese War.

? The activity of "Exploring Happiness West Road with the Blood Left in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression" was initiated by Yang, a photographer, writer and researcher of literature and history. The other two participants are Zhou, the oldest participant in this activity, who is 85 years old, and the youngest (58 years old) is a lady from Leshan who has returned from Beijing and settled for many years. Yang, aged 62 and 70. The average age of the participants in this trip is 70 years old, which is an ancient and rare search team.

? Lexi Highway is Leshan-Xichang Highway. 1939, during the hard period of the Anti-Japanese War, in order to open up the international channel between Yunnan and Myanmar, so that the strategic materials transported to Chongqing did not have to bypass Guizhou, the National Government recruited about 240,000 migrant workers from Sichuan and Kang provinces to participate in this feat in August. ?

? At about ten o'clock, the teachers, students and onlookers of the experimental primary school who came to see me off stood at the scene, and bright red banners fluttered in the wind. Everyone piously wiped off the stains on the landmark, and the young pioneers took photos with the participants at the joining ceremony. Wang Kai from Leshan Wisdom Bookstore presented the students with the book "Passion Years" which recorded the performance of the border guards. Wu, a fifth-grade 1 class student, said with emotion: "By participating in the activities, I learned that the highway turned out to be an unusual road, a road to resistance against Japan. We must learn from our ancestors, work hard and serve the motherland. Please rest assured that the powerful country has me. "

? At this time, the onlookers could not help but applaud warmly.

? At about noon 12, we arrived at the Lexi Anti-Japanese War Highway Memorial Hall in Ebian. Although the memorial hall is located in Leshan city, our group has not been able to visit it before. This is a very meaningful memorial hall. In the exhibition hall, everyone learned some new historical facts about Lexi Road, and paid tribute to many items of that year for the first time. When I left, I got the book Lexi Highway Historical Events Series. Leshan chapter presented by the memorial hall.

? At about 4 pm, everyone came to the monument of "Former Site of Lexi Highway during the Anti-Japanese War" in Wansheng Village, Huang Mu Town, Hanyuan County, Ya 'an City. It is only 1 Xu Li away from the world-famous bird's nest ditch. In order to commemorate the ancestors who died for their country during the construction, later generations respectfully erected this monument.

? Fortunately, in front of the monument, we met an old man who was born and raised in Shi Guanglu. The old man vividly introduced some little-known details about the road construction in Yanwogou.

? For example, according to historical records, 1400 migrant workers died within seven kilometers of the Yanwogou section, but there are few specific records. The old man said, I remember one day, I heard a different loud noise, and I don't know why. I didn't know until the next day that more than 100 migrant workers fell into a deep ditch and died because of the rock collapse caused by blasting. The old man's father and distant brother also participated in the excavation and transportation of the body.

? That night, because the Efu section of Laole West Road was widened and paved with asphalt, we detoured southbound and had to live in Dengfeng Farmhouse outside Huang Mu Town, so that we could continue to turn around and go to Xichang tomorrow after returning to Yanwogou and Suoyiling along Laole West Road.

? The next morning, we arrived at the long-awaited Yanwogou section. This is the junction of Huang Mu Town in Hanyuan County and Yi Township in Li Yong, with an altitude of 1.900 meters. The mountain is high, the rock is deep, the valley is dangerous, and there is no oxygen. Clouds and mist are lingering all year round, and the cliff drips water, which is the most difficult road section for construction in that year. In the past, this was the dividing line between Sichuan Province and Xikang Province.

? You finally saw the stalagmite, which often appears in articles about the bird's nest ditch. It is located in the Yi nationality township of Li Yong on the east side of the bird's nest ditch. At present, this road, which is only 3.5 meters wide and hard-hewn all over the cliff, makes everyone sigh. Yang deliberately directed two cars to cross the road on the narrow road. The photos taken showed that the two cars were just filling the road. The unique residual rock on the left looks like bamboo shoots.

At that time, the engineering department led the masonry team into the bird's nest ditch, organized "death squads" in two groups, and hoisted the laundry basket vertically from the cliff top with hemp rope. One person holds a drill, the other wields a hammer, digs a hole and buries black powder. Hemp rope breakage, squibs and falling rocks often cause casualties, and many masons also suffer casualties. There was a tragedy in which more than 0/00 people left work in the morning and only 20 people returned to work in the evening. The nicks left by steel drills and iron chisels on the rock mass are still vivid today, as if telling the hardships of that year.

? Therefore, Mr. Chen, a world-famous geotechnical expert and then director of the Institute of Highway Pavement, called it "the devil's residence".

? Especially to everyone's surprise, when Song Daojun climbed the cliff to take pictures, he seemed to have a concave-convex feeling with a rocky mountain in his right hand. He poked away the weeds curiously and found that it was actually a stone carving! He sprayed water excitedly, wiped the soil with a towel and took pictures of stone carvings. After preliminary identification, these dozens of official scripts actually recorded the road construction in 194 1 year. Liu Junde, a native of Longtan, Youyang, Chongqing, was recruited here to participate in the construction of Xikang Highway. Wen Ping of the Engineering Department ordered Liu Junde to urge the completion of the rock blasting project here. At the edge of the rock, he died because of the splash and deep ditch of the broken rock. The recorder laughed at himself as "Lexi Savage". Unfortunately, due to the age and serious weathering of rocks, two or three words cannot be confirmed. Compared with many unknown devotees, Liu Junde is lucky. The original faithful record of Lexi Savage made me wait for the younger generation to pay homage to a famous hero after 80 years.

According to a local introduction, there used to be a residence for migrant workers in Shenxigou area, and some words were engraved on the rocks. Everyone is very happy. Unfortunately, due to the rising water in the mountain stream, only the accommodation was photographed, but no words were photographed. If you lose something.

? This is an important discovery of this expedition, which was not recorded in the previous information about Lexi Road. We will go there again to clearly shoot rock carvings and add the words of migrant workers' residence. Then consult experts for further research.

? When I see these picturesque scenery and confusing stone carvings, I can't imagine the tragic scene that happened here 80 years ago!

Reluctantly leaving the bird's nest ditch, everyone boarded another famous road section-Suoyiling at around 4 pm. This is also a very dangerous section of Lexi Road. Because of the heavy fog all the year round, the rain drops to zero, and pedestrians have to climb over it. Rain gear such as hemp fiber and hat is essential, so it is named hemp fiber ridge. Regarding this passage, because there is a four-character stone tablet inscribed by Zhao Zukang, a well-known Lexi Taoist priest in China, we took some photos as a souvenir, and then hurried to Xichang.

Originally, everyone planned to take a section of Laole West Road from Huangmu Town to Hanyuan (then called Fu Lin), which, like Ku Yiling, remained the same. Unfortunately, the road was blocked because of the heavy rain the day before. In desperation, I turned into the expressway.

? Xichang Cylinder Kiln is the end of Lelao West Road, and it is known as the first cylinder in the world. The scenery near Qionghai is rare. Surrounded by towering old trees, a carved dragon urn stands tall. Panlong seems to fall from the sky around the urn, and a mouthful of clear water spouts from its mouth and fills the urn. Today's prosperity is different from the past.

? Here we are, having gone through this bloody road of resistance against Japan; We are very pleased, and we are also very pleased to explore some new clues.

This trip to glad you came! We are deeply saddened by the feat of our ancestors in defending the motherland.

Although everyone has passed by, I always feel that there is something missing, and my heart always seems to have regrets.

? Oh, seeing those vague monuments, seeing the roadbed and guardrail weathered day and night, we appeal that the relevant departments should spend energy and financial resources to protect them as soon as possible. If necessary, we can learn from Ebian and start building the Lexi Road Museum. Let the younger generation always remember the achievements of their ancestors, carry forward the great spirit of the war of resistance and inspire patriotic enthusiasm!
