Historical Evolution of Qian Shan National Forest Park
Qian Shan National Forest Park was approved by the former Ministry of Forestry 1996. In 2003, it was rated as a national AA-level tourist attraction.

On September 25th, 20 14, the State Forestry Administration, the Ministry of Education and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League decided to award Qianshan National Forest Park in Xianning City, Hubei Province the title of "National Ecological Civilization Education Base". This is the fifth national ecological civilization education base in Hubei Province.

Qian Shan Temple was built in the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty. By the Ming Dynasty, temples had grown to nine halls and thirteen halls. According to legend, Feng Jing, the satrap of the Song Dynasty, and Zhu Yanli, the courtier of the Ming Dynasty, worked in this temple in their early years, and Chen Huanshi, the magistrate of Xianning County in the Qing Dynasty, left a poem of "Huaigu Qianshan Temple".
