What is Li Zicheng's historical evaluation?
Li Zicheng is a great figure in the history of peasant revolution. He launched a revolution from northern Shaanxi and fought for more than ten years with the call of resisting grain and leveling fields. 1March 644 overthrew the rule of the Ming dynasty. But unfortunately, they were easily intoxicated by the victory, ignoring the enemy outside the customs, and were finally won by the Manchu and defeated. Therefore, Li Zicheng not only has the unique advantages of hard-working and creativity of farmers in China, but also has the shortcomings of farmers' awareness, small wealth and short-sightedness. The former led to his success, while the latter led to his rapid downfall.
