Historical sequential thinking can be divided into narrow sense and broad sense. The narrow sense of sequential thinking includes historical chronology and historical stages, while the broad sense of sequential thinking mainly refers to history and time, cause and effect, change and continuation, and historical reflection. Cultivating the thinking ability of historical time series is helpful for students to correctly use historical time terms, learn to scientifically analyze the historical development process, grasp the changes and continuation of historical events in the historical process, understand the cause and effect in the historical process, correctly distinguish the past, present and future, and treat historical issues objectively.
